I went to London back in 2017 to get on a cruise ship to sail to Belgium, Norway, Germany and France. London is an amazing city. I wasn't in it for very long. One day, I will go back there and see it all.

Tower Bridge's upper walkways are now open again; I did "the Tower Bridge Experience" about 8-9 years ago; not much view of the river because the walls of the enclosed space are set back quite a bit from the actual sides of the walkway. [] re Trafalgar Square's Christmas tree - I read a story that one year the tree was unexpectedly shorter than usual: while it had been at the docks after unloading, someone had cut ten feet off the top of it and taken it for their own Christmas tree. There's another excellent book London Under London, about all the tunnels, underground chambers etc that have been made in London over the centuries.
