My uncle was a prepper and convinced my grandma, his mom, to be one too. In 2012 my grandma was living with us due to health and she literally thought the world was going to end that day. Anyways when my uncle passed away he had a bunker full of canned food and my grandma did too. Apparently he buried gold too but we never found it. So if you're in Washington (the state) have fun digging.

16:19 I worked on a Y2K project as a coder and found definite issues as they were using COBOL on an old ass system. One of it worked out pensions and salaries and would have flipped to 00, causing the employees to owe the metro money. The Y2K issue was likely dodged due to billions spent on detecting it on the most important systems and changing the code between 1997 and 1999.

doomsday clock is at 2 and 1/2 minutes to midnight as of January 28, 2017. This is the closest it has ever been. Last time it was this close was in 1953 when it reached 2 minutes to midnight

Sam, I got you covered bro. When the Zombie Uprising begins, come see me. I have the PERFECT shelter for that very thing. The roof of the shelter is 15 feet underground. So it's very secure. Actually what the Mayan calendar was predicting to happen in 2012 was a solar flare that just missed the Earth by a few miles if we were less than a day late in our orbit it would have hit the earth and wiped out all electricity
