@@jasondeeprose3161 we can, it’s just that they don’t have the advertising money. time and time again the candidate who spends the most money on advertising gets the vote. the good news is that they aren’t the only options, there are probably many other younger candidates that normally wouldn’t stand a chance, but now that the us has woken up to both trump and biden’s true ages, maybe they will vote for someone younger instead. it is in our hands to enact this change, and i want everybody in the us to know this.

@@suspiciousstew1169 Except for the fact that the first past the post election system sabotages any third parties, and causes any votes for a third party to go to waste. Say you have three candidates, A, B, and C. A and B are the 'popular' / 'main' candidates, (in this case, Trump and Biden), with C being a third party. Obviously it'd be best to have C run, but between A and B, B is the lesser of the two evils. And say they're are only 100 voters in this hypothetical nation. 20 vote for C, 35 vote for B, and 45 vote for A. Due to the first past the post system, A automatically wins, and being the worse of the evils, screws over the nation the hardest. But if the 20 who voted for the independent C, instead voted for the lesser of two evils B, B would have 55 votes, and have won, screwing over the nation a fair bit less. Now if we DIDN'T have this stupid 'first past the post' system which causes well meaning voters who vote hopefully for a third party to essentially sabotage themselves, it'd be another story. But that isn't the case, a third party won't win, and any votes that go to the third party will ultimately go towards screwing us all over if the worse of the two evils is the one who does win... I'd suggest watching CGP Grey's videos on the subject. They have a lot of clear and easy to follow videos that describe issues in political systems like this.

honestly thats a double edged sword because human culture and belief/moral systems haven't even begun to catch up to the technological progress, which is why you have crazy things like dating apps basically causing the decline in marrige and relationship rates in the west, contraceptives and birth control changing the way we view sex and marrige, meaning instant gratification of sexual desires became more common which has honestly devalued both the male and female aspects in the family, (longer list below if anyone cares but overall you get my point) sugar and abundant food production in the west allowing for people to become fat and unhealthy through over eating, because we have never needed protections against overeating for 90% of the population living on sustinence farming for all of history industrialization and urbanization causing suburbs and very boring infastructure in big cities to be 'efficient' that make life in big cities just ugly. nothing has any difference or cultural uniqueness in big cities. from a distance new york looks the same as Tokyo or mexico city. increase in accessibility of easy pornography causing many to get addicted to it as, once again, porn has never been something most people have access to so we have never had social protections against it, leading many to feel great shame about it because they don't know how to consume it in moderate preportions. chemicals most people don't understand being put into most foods to make it last longer and to make it taste good, which could have effects we don't even understand. hormones in milk is a huge one that could be super effecting the human brain. social media addiction effecting how the current generation interacts, leaving a huge chunk of gen Z people unable to socially interact in a healthy way. people getting anxious over phone calls is a great example of this and is a sign many people haven't learned how to interact socially in a normal environment

Literally ANY presidential candidate for USA and most countries WOULD be older than time when Cold War ended because you cannot run for presidency before you're 36 but Soviet Union only collapsed in 1991. Which means russia, as a country, is a decade younger than Britney Spears, and actually younger than most kids in Harry Potter, even Ginny Weasley's actress Bonnie Wright is 10 months older than russian federation. So yeah, unless you think Emma Watson is too old, you shouldn't think that stuff from Cold War era is ancient.

This is elder abuse at this point. IMO no one should be elected to public office past the official retirement age. Older people can share their wisdom as advisors, but especially in a branch of gov that’s supposed to be executive and make quick decisions, it’s important to have someone sharp.

My grandad (born in the same year as Biden) died this year, of his own accord, when he decided to stop his kidney dialysis. He had been retired for nearly two decades, despite still being rather sharp, and was ready to let himself depart from this world because he was always the sort of man who could recognize when his time had passed. He was brilliant, educated, compassionate, and open-minded. I'm biased, but there are days when I think he could've run the country better than these two, even though his political opinions were different from mine. But Grandad knew when to quit. And I'm proud of him for that. I only wish my country's politicians had the same sense.

But her findings were taken by someone working with her, given to another team without her permission, and then the other team created a model before she could, published said model AND ALL OF HER FINDINGS WITHOUT CREDITING HER, and won the Nobel prize for her discovery. And that person took her discovery to another team entirely because she was a woman. And people don't often teach that or acknowledge that, it's crazy.

And nobody born AFTER USSR break-up is allowed to be US president because 36 is minimum age and russia only exists for like 33 (that's 33 years too long if you ask me).

The first color photograph was actually taken in the 1860s. But it wasn't widely used, or that nice to look at until the 70s because they were super expensive, and super difficult to make. The 1945 Moscow parade was actually recorded in color and you can still watch it. Color photography and videoography was usually saved for occasions like that- momentous celebrations and super important things
