Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this incredible 1961 Willy’s Wagon. This stunning 3-Owner truck has been completely disassembled and fully restored - and she looks and drives like she is brand new.
There are less than 300 miles since the restoration on this truck was completed. The all metal body was taken apart and sandblasted and restored. Only the ¼ panels and rocker panels were replaced, and the original tailgate was overhauled and restored as well. The truck was taken all the way down to the frame, and the suspension was taken apart, restored, and rebuilt before being reinstalled again. The engine in this truck is from a mid-80’s Toyota Pickup and is powered by a 4-Cylinder 22R paired with a 5-Speed manual transmission and 4:10 rear-end. The entire drivetrain has been either been inspected or rebuilt and in top running condition. An all new brake system was then added to include front disc brakes and drums in the rear. Almost everything on this truck has been either inspected, restored, or replaced - Even the A/C and windshield wipers work since the entire wiring system has been completely gone through and optimized with a new Yellow Top Optima battery. A brand-new gas tank and fuel lines were also added, along with an all new stainless-steel exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers to give this incredible truck and brand-new roar.
The Tan exterior paint is in terrific condition with premium PPG (Code JFD) paint that has been polished to a brilliant shine. The Sahara Tan (Code JFD) vinyl interior in equally excellent condition and even has that new car smell. Finishing off this classic Wagon is a set of Michelin Tires (235/75/15). The entire restoration has been fully documented, and no expense has been spared.
