Its actually over a 1000hp but if you ever drive a tuned bmw you will know that they are so refined in accleration that you dont feel or see the brutal power just smooth power

So is it a M50 engine or a M5 engine? Sounds M50 to me, but then why would they use the normal M50 from E36 3-series 20i/25i/28i when this car has factory S54 M3 engine?

Because early m50s are ironcast non vanos = more reliable S54 is high compression alloy engine double vanos= much more expensive to boost

@@theguenterFB good point there, but I mean why not use a regular 323 or whatever. Could be that this was a blown engine M3 so it had to have a new engine but if it was a proper M3 before the conversion, too bad. They should be kept stock, gonna be rising up in value very soon.

TheFrankybody I’ve seen a lot of BS comments like this. You know, this isn’t a highway pull, this is from 0kmh. And that many horses are very difficult to put down. And some cars might sound slow because their gearing is different, in other words very long, but they’re gaining speed ridicoulusly fast

Launches do not mean anything these cars are built for roll racing, and most likely with a "dyno numbers" tune it makes over 1000 but with a usable tune these motors make great across the board power at 750.

I own a 01e46 M3, tuned at 390hp. I can see the difference at launch. It’s such a smooth take off, and those tires are badass... just about no spin on them.

If you really want to look a m50 1000+hp just search pegasus e36 turbo. This is around 600hp.

An s54 costs over $3k and is a high compression dual Vanos engine, m50s are under $1k and has lower compression and no vanos
