A preview of probably the last video of the 4.8 build series until the track opens back up here in TX (early Jan). We have been gone for the Thanksgiving week so there will be a delay on the video. Unfortunately the dyno session was spontaneous and not planned so we didn't catch it on video. We will have another whack at it with nitrous next time and hopefully hit the 1200wheel mark. For now the series will be on hiatus until the track opens back up, but rest assured the truck is done and is being driven daily atm.

Do you mind giving out the cam specs and is there any head work. Ik it’s basically a sbe 4.8 w a Holley high ram VS 88 103.

It's a torquer v2 cam from Texas speed and stock head 706 And yea pretty much stock 4.8 hi ram and a vs 88/103

Any reason you run the triple 450s compared to like set of twin 525 or 535s?

So we built the truck in a week with what we had on the spot. But dual 525s are hardly an upgrade over 450s, only the 535s make a significant difference (and less amp draw) but we only had one at the time of starting. Not only that, but some people would probably complain about them not having any check valves in them since not everyone wants to run em full time. But we have tried dual 535s and maxed them out at 1200rwhp on 90% ethanol with 210s for those reading this comment. Not only that, but we have found out that the 535s do have a check valve of some sort, as we have staged them and pressure holds well.

@@horsepowerfactorytx badass. I was going to run a sump on stock tank with a 450/4303 inline but triple 450s seem to be the move. Will be street driven often so hopefully the 3 pumps running continuously won’t be a big issue. Not a huge fan of staging them & trying to eliminate accidental meltdown.

@@859Fab you'll be fine, we run triples continously never have had an issue. The only issue, if we end up having one, is that the vehicle needs a big 3 upgrade. The big 3 upgrade consisting of increasing the size of the ground going from battery to block (we also add a 0 gauge ground from block to chassis), increase size of wire from alternator to battery, and increasing size of wire from battery to fuseblock/rest of distribution points. With this done, you'll have good consistency when it comes time to tune the engine. By omitting the upgrade you could face voltage issues and because your injector behavior is largely dependent on voltage, and your fuel pumps as well, you could see air fuel issues after the tune session and could potentially have engine damage if not monitoring afrs.
