I love 10th cause no matter which 10th planet you go to it’s all the same stuff . It’s true to the original system

I don't know, ... warm up sounds like a KGB / CIA conspiracy.

These are all foreign agents disguised as jits players, if you slow down the vid and turn up the volume you can see and hear them sharing info during guard passes and rear naked choke attempts, they are sharing 4 different languages

Dude is a bjj genius IMO

Dude literally created his own discipline of bjj, so yeah pretty much , I think I'd have to agree.

Not really a opinion he beat a world class jiu jitsu master only using smarts and flexibility. He is very unathletic

Agreed 100%. Outside of ju-jitsu... Not so much.

Funny how Eddie believes in flat earth theory yet the 10p logo is of a spherical planet... I’m not a hater btw, I’m a 10p purple belt myself

Hello can I ask you a question ?? Would 10P be a good way to learn the basics of No-GI for someone who has very little training in grappling. My goals are to learn the basics of submissions, takedowns and MMA stuff that I find more useful for street than the GI ( which I find is too much about grips and sports). I know they offer a BASIC NO GI and they have the advanced class. Would the Basic Class cover everything I need if my goals are just to learn Beg to Intermediate stuff in a friendly environment.
@TheDrConfuzled6 жыл бұрын
If your goal is to have an advantage over a complete novice at martial arts in the street, getting these warm-ups down pat which is the primary focus of beginner classes will give you solid setups to a variety of submissions and should be enough. If you want to compete, gain a complete mastery of submission grappling or protect yourself from capable martial artists on the street, theres no way of getting around hours and hours of this drilling combined with hours and hours of actual rolling with other students. Lastly, my 10p school offers wrestling and striking classes once a week in conjunction with the bjj classes every day, and the instructors generally have a broad understanding of mma, mma grappling striking wrestling and street self defence. they also usually offer 3 free classes, hope this all helps

Gi is good for war; because in war you have stuff strapped to you you cannot remove. So rules should be anything that does physical damage, with other moves omitted; sub only. With no GI; should be exactly how you have it; sub only. I believe that grappling needs as much diversity as you can have; with a different theme for each round.
@ericjohnson48774 жыл бұрын
To be fair you can fight a war with flip flops and a robe and an AK and not get wiped out even by the most powerful military in the world. My thinking is Gi is good for cold weather where people where jackets, no gi is good for warm weather when they don't.

Does 10P have a beginner fundamental class where I can learn all the no-gi basics in a safe environment without getting destroyed by more advanced grapplers or being overly confused with extreme details
@bane39916 жыл бұрын
Extreme details are vital in jiu jitsu. Nobody expects you to master it your first day. Some schools have basic classes and advanced. If upper belts are destroying you, than you might want to leave that gym. The only people who are going to destroy you is the people who been training for a couple months themselves. But a 5yr guy isn't going to just fuck you up right off the bat.
@quasar46016 жыл бұрын
Been doing it only for 6 weeks and already been studying Bicep slicers and wrist locks lol. Can I use a wrist lock or is that considered rude. I would only go super slow
@quasar46016 жыл бұрын
high white belts destroy me but I am destroying the new guys pretty easily lol. I guess 6 weeks is not so new as people are always joining and leaving every week. However, the class on friday seems to be loaded with huge, athletic guys and I am considering not rolling after the technique part to save my body. I rolled last Friday and took too much damage
@quasar46016 жыл бұрын
I rolled with a brown belt and he was going super soft on me lol. He was just playing around and I am very grateful he did not kill me lol
@bane39916 жыл бұрын
David, there's no point for a brown belt to just destroy you haha that's kind of being a bully. He should be destroying the blues and purples if anything. And at my place you can use wrist locks. But I never did it before, nor have I had someone do it to me. But we have learned them.

Is 10th planet decent or should i just learn normal no gi jiujitsu?
@pur3jock2h8 жыл бұрын
+scanjet1000 just find a place local that you can enjoy. It is more important to be able to love going every week. even gi gyms have no gi because it is so popular.
@scanjet10008 жыл бұрын
***** I was asking hypothetically, i'm currently doing normal bjj, i'm not gonna change my gym over something like this but I asked as I was curious on peoples opinions about the two.
@pur3jock2h8 жыл бұрын
Well, i would say learning as many techniques and transitions is never a bad thing. I have wrestling background, so no gi is my preference; and the Truck system is amazing.
@TheLyingFigure8 жыл бұрын
+scanjet1000 It's pretty good once you have most of the basics down already according to Eddie his best students had taken normal bjj for two or three years then switched to tenth planet
