I was amazed by how brilliantly the bunker-filling process was choreographed from the the non-stop harvesters to the plastic rolling and tire stackers! Plus I want to applaud you for your wonderful editing, especially how you master the sound so that you don't hurt our ears with sudden spikes in volume from saws and loud equipment. Your channel deserves an award for presentation and content! Bravo!!💗

Back in the day when we still had our dairy I remember the bunker getting filled with chopped corn and that unique smell as the D-8 Cat pushed and packed the silage down making sure it would be ready for winter. Then when the snow was flying the cows were so happy to get that steaming hot silage to warm them. Thanks for the memories. It makes me want to milk a cow. LOL.

Wow Eric! You and your family have taken corn silage harvest to a whole new level! Tremendous video footage including detailed audio! Congratulations and job well done. Back in the 80’s when I was dairy farming. Bunker storage was kind of frowned on because there tended to be a lot of spoiled feed. However the way you are using the plastic liners and inoculates. Along with your incredible fast harvesting team. You have really transformed bunker storage into cost a effective feed storage system. Compare your system to vertical storage silos. And I don’t think there is any way that you could have harvested 3,000 tons and blew it into vertical storage in 24 hours. Plenty of good feed now for the girls going into winter. God’s blessings….and now get some sleep😊

Hi Eric! Make sure you get those panels cleaned to get the most kWh out of them! I'm about to go into my masters (4th and final) year of Renewable Energy Engineering at university so I'm very happy to see you get them installed. I was thinking of messaging you a year or two ago to offer to do a mock solar design for your buildings - glad to see you came up with the idea too. Would like to have the solar PV topic come up more in future videos. All the best.

Hi Eric. it is interesting to watch different farm operations. Your bunk solutions are very different from the other farms I watch over in the UK. And your solutions seem a lot better thought out and efficient and useful to protect the silage in the bunk. I think your model could be duplicated on other farms to better their operations.

When I was a kid growing up in Northern Indiana we did almost all of our harvesting around the clock, but we used the night most. 6pm to 8am was go time. It avoided working in the heat of the day and traffic. Plus there's a vibe about working in darkness by the flood lights of the machines. Made it not seem like work as much without the blazing heat.

I was also thinking. Would it be a cool idea to make a compilation of best/funniest moments for new years eve for example? I would like that. If you end up making such a video, you know that the dairyman ice slip save definetely has to be in there😁.

Love watching your videos, I grew up on a dairy farm in the 60’s-90’s in nw pa USA every time I smell a dairy farm while driving by, my mind goes right to, ahhhhh smells like home. 80% of our school had farm children in it, so you were weird if you didn’t smell like manure haha so you ended with friends over everyday to help with chores so they would “fit in” haha the old days were awesome, more of a labour of love then. We didn’t have all the fancy stuff you have now. 10th generation, so I’m sure you know how hard it was in the day. Haying season was 4-5 hrs of sleep, eat, milk, hay, eat, mom brought lunch to the field, hay, milk , hay,eat then sleep, do it again. We hayed the hard way, no kick or round bailers, just dropped on the ground and you had to pick it up and throw it on the wagon. Then you graduate to stacker (on the wagon and barn) then the ultimate was driving the tractor (no ac,or protection from the sun) (H farmal) but all you had to do was operate the tractor and bailer or the tractor and wagon of course. I graduated to the tractor/wagon when I turned 12 in the 1970’s ish haha I’m not saying you don’t work hard in todays world. Just saying our generation and the ones before mine worked much harder. Haha good stuff 1st time commenting, been watching😊 for a minute.

When we were in the dairy business in the 60s and 70s we had a two row corn chopper and two carts. Some of our fields were several miles away and one person did the cutting and hauling to a fifty foot upright silo. It would probably take us a month to chop that much silage and put it away. We used to store our silage in an in ground pit that didn’t have concrete sides. We had one cow that would stand at the base of our upright silo and lick the juices oozing out and she would basically get drunk.
