I don't think she meant it like that. Of course she cares about Zola. But right now, she has a patient going into a very serious multiple transplant surgery and Meredith was not prepared to assist her. She was distracted. Cristina was just looking out for the best interest of the patient. What she meant was, she cared more about the patient than Zola's injury.

I would've reacted like that if my important work (patient) was abandoned by my colleague (even though she was my best friend), but suddenly she wanted to be involved in the work knowing that she was unprepared.

Cristina was so right with this entire storyline. Meredith seemed desperate to prove she’s as good as Cristina without putting in the work. She didn’t do the reading and she didn’t even think to examine the patient because she was too busy talking about her kids. Cristina was always the better surgeon and then Meredith goes home and yells at Derek because he didn’t answer his phone and she didn’t get to do her surgery, while he was in the middle of an extremely important one.

I disagree, Cristina is not the better surgeon, both her and Meredith are good surgeons, remember in season 4 when Meredith didn't have anything to do, she came up with a clinical trial which had a successful outcome, I realized that when Derek was alive, she was more laid back which distracted her from practicing medicine, I mean look at how she started thriving when derek died, she even won a Harper Avery. My point is Cristina could have executed the message better, she know mer have a problem with her mother and then she compared her to mom which was completely uncalled for. I didn't like what Cristina did right here.

@@nicm2608 tbf Derek was more of a distraction than her own children since she not only saw him at home but also at work. Meredith was always good with what she has done, but her life went upside down the moment she met Derek.

Cristina was right in this, she was just making sure that everything was going to be ok with her patient and Meredith was a bit distrated.

Am glad cristina left she started going back to her behaviours of earlier seasons, and no Meredith is a great surgeon same as Cristina and standing there and telling your friend that you are in competent surgeon bringing my dead mother in the mix that's when I can punch you I hated Cristina.
