We’re building out the walls of our modern work shed. We’ll start with the back wall since it’s the easiest one to do. From there, the side walls incorporate a window for each one. We learn how to make a window header and build up that area. Lastly is the front wall. This one is a little more complex, but if you take it step by step, you can easily do this. The article listed below is what I used for making my walls step by step.

For me, the ideas in kzfaq.infoUgkxAfqpMLyFn37qcqUl0FAzqkkycQeXqrhP Plans were a starting point for building different sheds . Ryan gives ideas that allow an individual to draw nicest conclusions into the design and building of his or her own shed.

Thank you for drawing the rest of the owl. Most guides are just “ok now just frame the door” and it cuts to siding after the walls are up xD

Oops hit the wrong key. Anyway. When I build a 10x12 shed. I install the doors at the end of a 12 foot wall. This way you don't lose the use of a whole wall. Then I suggest that you use the remaining part of that wall for a desk and then run a countertop off of that down the 10 foot wall. This is for, if you are going to use the building for a work shop. Anyway, to each their own. Thanks for sharing.

Why did you float the framing on the stones vs. Attach the frame directly to the cinder block foundation?

I already framed my front door wall but didn't realize the outside studs had to be a bit longer for roof. Can I just build all that onto of what I already framed in? If u could get back to me asap please I'm stuck at work

What kind of hand saw do you use ? I ordered one from Amazon and the blade was flimsy
@AdventuresInDIY
@AdventuresInDIY 3 жыл бұрын
I'm using a Suizan japanese ryoba. The blades on Japanese saws are thinner than western ones because they cut on the pull stroke. I've used a variety of disposable blade ryoba and they seem similar. The main difference is going to be the size of the blade. The larger the blade, the more aggressive the teeth are going to be.

Fantastic video but like all the shed videos I have seen before, they do not say exactly what kind of nail and how many are being used. So many ways to get the building inspector to reject the project when the right nailing is not done.

Well done. But I find one thing strange that almost everyone who makes videos on building a shed does. And that is installing the doors in the middle of a 10 foot wall. For the life of me I can't understand the logic for doing this. Well actually I do, because it make everything look unif

At about 5:23 both nails plit the stud. The end of that board looks like kindling.. Looks like the nail gun or compressor could use some maintenance?around 6:27 says level the walls. I believe you plumb the walls but hey its a shed right?
