First a loop of "CRY YOUR HEART OUT" plays as a video of Adele is projected in white animates as if ghostly shadow.
The curtain opens, and it is raining on stage.
Adele goes on to sing "SET FIRE TO THE RAIN"-as flames lick at a piano.
Finally, she settles into an intimate version of "WHEN WE WERE YOUNG" walking through the audience as she sings after she has shared a favorite memory of her childhood, namely the first time she watched her all-time favorite film, M. Night Shyamalan's "The Sixth Sense" starring Bruce Willis.
At her Caesars Palace show, Weekends with Adele [#84] on May 25, 2024, Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was both humble and out-of-this world fierce.
She exudes confidence but is quite nervous as a performer and to deal with her nerves becomes this lovable chatterbox on stage that shares her life with you in meaningful ways.
I left this concert feeling Adele truly appreciates and is so very grateful for the energy and love and support she receives from those who came to hear her sing.
Adele was beyond gracious, down to earth, and to experience THAT voice live was something I will treasure for the rest of my life.
I attended with my husband, Charlie, who always appreciated Adele but came away from the concert, really loving her in a way that he had not before.
Thank you, Ms. Adele Adkins for pouring your heart and love into this show. I felt it. I will never forget this experience.
