Kentucky similarly had a ton of injuries, including 2/3 of their starting defensive front and several in the secondary. But that's what really separated Georgia from the pack. Football in October is really mostly a game of attrition as teams are beat up after the first six or seven games, but very few can replace as many quality players as Georgia can without much drop-off. Only Bama and maybe Ohio State can come close. In Kentucky's case, their October injuries cost them the ability to play Georgia closer and then lost them the next two games that they definitely should have won. The injuries turned a likely 11-1 season into a 9-3 one. But Georgia had the depth to withstand their injuries to finish the regular season 12-0. That's why recruiting year after year matters.

@@wtk6069 it's similar to the national championship against Alabama. Winning a Natty is basically a depth award. Everyone has injuries during the year and sometimes during the national championship game. Recruiting is very Important

.......I don't know man! I thought it was the greatest "D" in NCAA History before Kentucky! Their Qb was 32 for 42 throwing for 200 yards! And he is an AVERAGE Qb........PLUS their last drive was close to 90 yards and TWENTY TWO PLAYS!! 22 plays and most of the fourth quarter! I still think they are the best "D" in the country and I'm not worried about our offense anymore regardless of who starts at Qb! But what will that Qb from Bama do?? Of course the OC for Kentucky called some great plays keeping our defense off balance some of the time! But I DON'T think any future OC can run a game anywhere as near as good as Kentucky's OC did......He called some brilliant plays! I'm probably just worried about nothing! I am not worried bout any of our regular season games and I think the Dawgs have enough talent to overcome any of Kirby's bad calls and his lack of killer instinct! Such as; Having a good sized lead just before halftime with about 1 minute and 20 seconds to go....... the Dawgs have the ball, and he just sits on it instead of trying to get more points! But he does have his team sittin at Number ONE in the country so who the fuck am I to criticize any thing he does!!

My god I love this team!! They are a true TEAM!! I dont see this team losing at all this year, but anything Is possible. I can tell ya now, no I can guarantee you that the ONLY way a team will beat UGA is for that team to have a QB that can spin it.... MUST be a trevor lawrence type QB, even Trask, burroughs, or jones would also be able to beat UGA's defense.....Gotta be a smart, VERY accurate passer with an above avg arm.... however, problem is there are no QB's like that on UGA's schedule....basically until they play bama in the seccg and the teams in the playoff games they wont be challenged at all. Look, best believe UGA will still beat bama in the seccg and still beat both the playoff teams they'll face , it's simply the fact that the scores will be much closer than their reg season games were. Something like this for example: UGA beats bama 27-20 in the seccg, then UGA beats OKlahoma in a semifinal playoff game 34-24, and last but not least.... UGA beats either cincy/oh st/michigan/bama in the title game 24-20. GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at all the holding allowed by the UK OL - and I'm not talking the always-allowed jersey gripping between the shoulders - I'm talking full arm wraparounds on every other offensive snap, quite often both arms, perfect form tackles by the offensive line in full view of the officials at 20:20 is an amazing example, watch: - 70 gets both hands well outside the shoulder, then a hands-to-the-face AND then a facemask, - 83 tug all kinds of back-of-the-jersey before his defender gets the sack, however... - 80 was the "star" of this one - he gets both arms around the shoulder and head from the side at the snap, then figures the penalty is better than a big hit on the QB by his guy and just goes full bear-hug from behind. Joke was on him, he could have swept the leg, Johnny and those hankies would have stayed nice and warm behind those belts. Not only should a flag have been thrown for one of the three instances of holding, there was an uncalled personal foul. My only conclusion is that Will Levis is related to the SEC head of officials, or he is dating someone in the family with the prospect of a fruitful marriage and come hell or high water he's getting to the NFL as unscathed as the UK OL and the SEC crews can manage. Oh and RUTS next year. I don't want to hear anything about throwing the ball at the end of a decided game - I want RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUTS bad enough that UK football fans start saving their paper grocery bags again to cut out eye holes just in case. I want a seventh TD this year as bad as they wanted a second one last year.

GA isn't losing game this season, but I gotta say UK completely killed themselves with the play calling in the second half. I mean Chris Rodriguez only touched the ball 7 times smh. I mean we completely took our best weapon and didn't even utilize him 🤦 that first drive he ran good, then GA stuffed him A couple times and got him for a loss once. After that KY didn't even try and run the ball. I'm GA has the best rushing defense but damn man you have to at least try. C-Rod ran good on ga last year and could have made a difference in this game if he had 20 carries, they might not have won but I'd bet that the game would have been closer. They had chance after chance but just completely stopped using him. Our offensive play calling was almost as bad as it was in the Chattanooga game. They put together one good drive and after that they just kept making dumb play calls. Cohen needs build the offense around Rodriguez and the run game. you cant beat the best team in the country with just pass plays man. Smh

They were stopping the run because the offensive line couldn’t control their d line. Receivers dropped a couple passes, which didn’t help. Secondary got burned on some deep balls. He had two long drives and the last one went for 24 plays and resulted in a touchdown!..That's fucking brilliant against a high school team, but to do it against the best team in the country and specifically the best college defense in NCAA History is beyond belief!! Hell yes, Kentucky played their guts out....tough, smart, and physical ball! All Wildcat Fans should be very proud!....They have a very good chance to finish 12-1 and then go out there and get some of those 5 STARS. And until you're an offensive coordinator for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, you need to shut the fuck up!! GO DAWGS!

Yea, others are right. There's this thing called "game script" if you're familiar with football dynamics. When you're down 3 scores inthe 3rd quarter, the run is typically abandoned. It eats clockand potential for game breaking plays isn't as high as passing.

You get smoked up the middle repeatedly, you think you’d either stop running the ball middle, or maybe change up your blocking schemes so the ball carrier isn’t always met 5 yards deep. Kentucky just pissed down their legs every time they had to face that monster Georgia defensive line.

@@wewhoareabouttodiesaluteyo9303 Yah, I was wondering why Kentucky kept running up the middle. I think it's just what they practice. I felt like Kentucky could have exploited UGA's defense more than they did.

@@wlouisharris That and during the game on one of the plays, they had shown that there was a HUGE gap in the defense that could have been exploited on the left side, but the RB chose to run it up the middle. I think it seriously takes a lot of doing overs in practice to make it muscle memory. Some good teams like Alabama and even Georgia may have the ability to deviate from the play if they can have their olines delay the defense for more time. Maybe this is why their runs are more effective because they are able to see the actual play and the exploitation that opens up as a side effect and make a decision as to what they feel is the better option. I even asked my friend in college(who is huge football fanatic - Packers fan) and he states because regardless of what we see in the game or the announcers point out, the route they run in the play is suppose to be the best option because that is where the blocks are supposed to be set. So in a way, the RB is banking on his teammates to give him that route, even if a better option opens up as a side effect.

@@wewhoareabouttodiesaluteyo9303 Interesting analysis. I was watching from the stands so not always able to consume what is doing on. I'll have to go back and watch it on TV. You have to get off quick passes against the Dawgs. I'm sure there is plenty of time for the Dawgs D to get tested.
@wewhoareabouttodiesaluteyo9303

@@wlouisharris You have to play how they play. Short choppy pass plays within 5-10 yards, good oline, and quick RBs. That is what has become of the NCAA. Alabama started it and that has become the standard. Just like in the NFL, Urban Meyer is trying to run his triple option plays, but when everyone is at the same speed, you need to go crisp pass plays and good throws, running plays are just to distract.

@@wlouisharris the first honest response I heard. Your fans act like people were predicting Kentucky to win. Which wasn’t close to the case. Kentucky had 24 points in that game to score. @@BlackHeron89 Lot of games left to play. Florida in Jax is always tough. Mullen is a good offensive coach but Florida's defense is suspect. From what I've seen Mullen doesn't have a lot of confidence in his qb play so not going wide open. We haven't seen UGA play a really high powered offense yet so we have to see how this elite defense does against that type of offense. Kentucky is more ball control offense. I wish we played Texas AM or Ole miss before the SECCG.
