I made another one of these videos since you all enjoyed the Rachmaninoff version :)
Should I continue making these videos for different composers? Let me know down below in the comments! Thanks for watching as well. I am very grateful that so many of you saw my previous video. I hope to make more entertaining content for you all in the future!
The pieces below are in the following order of the video:
La Cloche Sonne - • Liszt - La cloche sonn...

Liebestraum No. 3 - • Liszt: Liebesträume, S...

Reminiscences de Norma - • Liszt: Reminiscences d...
Liszt Sonata in B Minor - • Liszt: Sonata in B Min...
Reminiscences de Don Juan - • Liszt: Réminiscences d...

As you can tell... I really admire Bolet's interpretations of Liszt. Maybe because his teacher's teacher was Liszt himself?

In my humble and very subjective opinion, I personally think Wild Jagde is a bit harder than Mephisto Waltz, speaking from experience with both pieces, every thing Mephisto waltz has going for it Wild Jagde has it but slightly harder.

@@Historia_ I didn't even THINK about trying the s 137 set, way too difficult. I tried some of the hardest spots of the s 139 and the Mephisto Waltz (which is how I usually test the waters with difficult pieces) and I found the Waltz a bit easier.

It's nothing compared to more than half of these. Campanella and HR2 are just above Liebestraum. Both took me a few months to learn. No, these two pieces are nowhere near the hardest.

This might sound crazy but I would actually put liebestraum in the top 4 hardest pieces by Liszt. Hear me out, obviously Don Juan and every other piece on this list is far more technically demanding and more difficult. But Liebestraum is one of the most difficult pieces to phrase perfectly. It's up there with the likes of Schubert and Schumann. Playing Liebestraum note by note with little to no dynamics is obviously easy, but getting the control and dynamics is much harder than playing a lot of notes with blazing tempo.
@Numberonesorabjifan
@Numberonesorabjifan Жыл бұрын
Don Juan isn't just notes with blazing tempo. It's notes with blazing tempo while playing in piano (some parts) and with phrasing as well. I agree liebestraum is hard but definitely one of his easier pieces.

@@jeviljuice1633 why is it that everytime there is a slower/less technically demanding piece, everyone says "omg this piece is actually difficult because phrasing" as if fast and technically demanding piece don't actually require phrasing too. Phrasing/emotional difficulty and technical difficulty are not mutually exclusive things. Pieces like don juan not only require technical ability but ALSO phrasing.
