SCAM!!! They stole $24.95 out of my Venmo account and claim a purchasing error. They never even asked for my address to send this book which was a hardback not ebook and never sent anything to confirm my order or any shipping information which obviously does not surprise me. They even took the money out before I agreed because I was not going to agree until I put in my address and there is no one to contact about a refund. I had to stop payment and tell the credit card company about this scam which takes forever and they wanna cancel my card so these stupid thieves can’t steal more money and definitely of worth it. SCAM 100%

So true with stoicism. In my marriage I did it all in the home and raising the children. He would walk in and sit like a visitor and do nothing even if I was sick he would ignore me. He was a narcissist took but never returned and had no heart. I became exhausted after 20 years of marriage and went into depression he just got up and left with another woman. God stepped in and made me stronger than ever and I worked and raised my children alone. I’m still independent and will be for life.

I cut all ties with everyone I know and ever knew a few years ago and never looked back. Most people are morons, even if they live in expensive homes and drive luxury cars, which seems to be the benchmark for a 'smart person' or success. In addition, most people will hold you back from your goals so it's best not to reveal them. For the first time in my life, I have peace.

This often happens when leveling up in life, some people prefer the previous dynamic where they thought you were in a lower position on the totem pole and now they feel threatened you are in the process of surpassing them. Dismiss those naysayers immediately and never look back! They never truly cared about you evolving and therefore were never your ally.

Yes but 'It's our decision on how we will respond in relationships' does not mean that you will respond to abuse with calm, love, forgiveness and peace, it MEANS get the Hell out of every relationship where you are being abused. If you were brought up being abused, you don't know that. The ONLY answer is get out. Run. And don't go back.

It’s great that the younger generation gets these informations before learning them the hard way for too long a time! Would have saved some of us elders a lot of time and heartbreak. Wonderful presentation🙏🏻 1. When relationships hinder your growth… 2. When destructive emotions dominate the relationship… 3. If you are being manipulated and controlled… 4. When the relationship does more harm than benefit… 5. If there is a lack of mutual respect… 6. When the relationship prevents the acceptance of reality… 7. If you are compromising your own values… 8. When the relationship is not reciprocal… 9. If there is any form of abuse… 10. When communication consistently fails… 11. If the relationship disrupts your tranquility…

Thank you again... I believe this Stoic teaching channel is very important at this time... A constant reminder & support, as we learn & negotiate through so many poor relationship patterns, that have been encouraged over time. & generations... At home, work, in our personal lives... And with ourselves and how we may slip in behaving towards others, of course!... I expect we're all seeing how, as we make even small adjustments in ourselves, when around others...this often evokes different behaviours from those others, often unconsciously.

Seal your heart Daisy - be indifferent & move out of the area somehow. You will get stronger & stronger by only viewing them from a distance. I did. I dont feel at all guilty, enjoying my peace & freedom. Never want to see them again. If we ever did meet up in the future, I will contain myself, not be do over exuberant, not putting my heart into any connection or telling them too much. That is my problem, I am like an open book & it's dangerous.. Say Hi & goodbye with small talk & exit from their company quickly. I'm nearly 68 & it's taken a long time to see the light. So much harder with family but it can be done.

The reason it keeps happening is because ur asking from a state of lacking and pain…ur allowing it by staying humble and apologetic when u should be angry and stern saying no more! It will continue until u stop being too nice…I was the same way…I’d cry when my family lies and gossips blame onto me and couldn’t understand how they could do this to me so easily and know it’s all lies….my career opportunities all stolen from me and my college degree rendered useless because even though I have no criminal record at all, I’m labeled a criminal and no one hires criminals….they treat me like a pos because I’m low income now cuz I can’t use my degree or find a decent job etc….they caused it….but they won’t ever admit that…instead of making excuses for their behavior I faced it…now when someone says something to me, I flat out tell the truth…I get accused of selling drugs by someone, I turn and say u have mistaken that..that’s my brother who sells drugs out of our parents basement they allow it because the cops allow him to do it and he’s a violent lunatic …so maybe I should think twice about befriending a mentally I’ll sociopath that sells drugs to minors…and they shut their traps and it doesn’t happen all the time like it used to….I even had cops sending snitches to my door asking me to sell them drugs! I finally sat one down and asked why they assumed I was into that? After all, it’s 4 am and they woke me up knocking on my door! Do I have a ton of traffic? Nope! Do they see my vehicle at other dealer homes? Nope! Are my children junkies and hoodlums? Nope! Do I display having money I can’t account for? Nope! So why do they continue spending money on these antics when there’s nothing indicating that the lies are true? They’ve not been back since! Be assertive! Get angry and defend urself because no one else will!

Thank you for this timely presentation, for me, today. That word, that ideal.....UNDERSTANDING. My own personal and professional experiences so far....BE CAUTIOUS . What I've discovered soooo often, when someone says to me...Please understand me! I need your understanding! Or, You don't understand me! Or, You have no understanding of this situation! Most often, what the person is really saying to you, what they're demanding or hoping for from you, is not understanding at all. It's AGREEMENT with them. It's your agreement with them that they're really after. Not your UNDERSTANDING. Don't confuse understanding with agreement - whether you're on the giving or the receiving end.

There is a flip side to this. Speaking as an old-fart, back in the day we learned to communicate, say that we were sorry, try to listen to others and work to maintain relationships. Now, if someone has a political, religious or other difference, they are encouraged by their favorite-flavored ism of the day to permanently cut family members out. It is sad to go through life with mainstream relationships forever broken, without learning what once were mainstream values.
@glengabruch4664

I agree with always trying to communicate, take accountability, apologize and move forward in relationships. HOWEVER, such requires mutual respect and care. When people lack that, they are incapable of the aforementioned and instead seek to habitually abuse and disrespect you. Those ARE the toxic people that one should remove from their lives. Unfortunately those people are sometimes family. 😢

I have a ling time friend and i feel she thinks im below her or something ,i feel she shows no respect for me 😭nevet showd me any consideration and thete have bern alot if other things that have gone on over the years ,i feel im more of a friend to her than she is to me , so i feel its time for me to move on now , she is also a narcissist every thing is about her , and im tired of it all , like being one sided , im done , i deserve better 😢😮😊

It was painful because my boys ,I thought would always be there for dad. Maybe in time, but time is helping my emotional strife , when I lapse away from mindfulness.

In my situation things could not have been different I lacked awareness, I was always neutral, I was aware and it was mean t to be this way, and honestly it does not matter anymore.

Being a caregiver for a spouse after her stroke 5 years ago I can honestly say I'm now married to all 11 of these signs, especially 8. After a good 40 years, anyone who's been a caregiver can likely relate. This video only bolsters what I've been telling myself for some time.
