FYI: This piece only plays in the film when Clemenza shoots Straucci. All other pieces present during the baptism were not composed by Rota. Prelude and Fugue in D Major, BWV 532 plays after Michael says "I do renounce him" until the end of the baptism scene. The beginning of Passacaglia in C Minor, BWV 582 is also present when the assassins load their guns.

What is the name of chilling organ piece played during the start of the baptism scene?

@@user-zc7rb8eb6n I honestly do not know. It might not even be a piece that was originally written for organ. Actually, it might not have even been written by Bach. The first and third pieces I haven't identified. It's gonna take me a very long time to listen to every piece Bach wrote. Read on below for more info. Here's what I do know: There are five pieces total. The second piece is various sections of the Passacaglia in C minor, BWV 582. The fourth piece which plays in the film for about five seconds, was written by Nino Rota (this video) is a very brief section that plays when Clemenza kills Straucci in the elevator. And the fifth and last is the ending of the prelude section of the Prelude and Fugue in D major, BWV 532 with part of the ending looped after Neri jumps in the getaway car after killing Barzini.

@@returnofthepinballwizard1968 I don’t think it’s Bach. The chord progression in the first piece is more like mid-late romanticism period

This is not the actual soundtrack music from that scene, I verified that by comparing it to the music on the DVD. It is not even the same organ.

Indeed. The whole playlist is ripped from a 'revisited' album. It's not a copy-paste of the samples used in the movie. I, too, prefer the original music but I think this album is still pretty enjoyable.
