man i love these old TBS/TNT football broadcasts (both college and when they had NFL sunday night football in the 90's). the production and the music was outstanding...I'm glad they still at least have Baseball/Basketball broadcasts going....they are 100 times better than ESPN/FOX

Thanks for posting. Though I obviously hated the outcome I got to be there and it was a very entertaining college football game. The K-State fans were total class and were a lot of fun.

K-State was better than USC. The Wildcats deserved to be in the Orange Bowl over USC or Iowa that year.

K-State dominated this game. USC was lucky to cut it to seven in the fourth quarter. Kareem Kelly got shut down by Terence Newman throughout the game

+Wildcat3 Was this the year also USC went to the orange bowl and Carson Palmer won Heisman? Just wondering
@wildcat3148 жыл бұрын
Yes to both. USC beat #3 Iowa in the Orange Bowl and Carson Palmer won the Heisman in this season. USC finished #5 in both polls. USC lost 2 games in 2002: This one and 2 weeks later at #17 Washington State 30-27 in overtime.

I like how in the 30 for 30 there was no talk of the games usc lost to k state I bet as soon as Snyderman retires there will be one on him and Kansas state

I think they mentioned it but they tried to blow it off as a fluke even though it wasn't.

@@truegamenerd nah they definitely mentioned USC lost back to back but also had beat auburn back to back and how they lost to wsu then Cal the next year

No 30 for 30 yet. I was hoping for a movie. It’s such a great story.

USC's last regulation loss for a LONG time (Washington State later that season and Cal 03 were in overtime)

K-State would have beaten Miami, FL in 2002. KSU was two plays away from being undefeated and facing Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.

KSU QB #3 was low key nice

24 touchdown passes only 12 interceptions in 2003 for K-State. Led KSU to back to back 11 win seasons. Their only losses in 2002 were a 4 point loss to Colorado and a 3 point loss to Texas. Otherwise K-State would have been in the Big XII title game for a shot at the national championship

@@alexkain8564 those were good years for K-State, that QB reminded me of Mike Vick

@@11duckedoff1 Yeah Roberson was a stud at quarterback for K-State. It was thrilling getting to see him play live in a ton of his home games in Manhattan. Those K-State teams were so talented and he helped KSU achieve back to back 11 win seasons in ‘02-‘03

Do you have the 03 Nebraska game??!?
@wildcat3148 жыл бұрын
No. Wish that I did. The 2003 Nebraska game was regionally broadcast on ABC. I was living in Georgia at the time and it wasn't televised in that area. ABC televised an ACC game instead. I could only listen to the Nebraska game over the web.
@wildcat3148 жыл бұрын
I hope someone posts the ABC broadcast of the 2003 Nebraska game on here. KSU used to have their broadcast of the game for sale. I don't see that it's available from them anymore. Nebraska is still selling their broadcast of that game on DVD.

There are at least 3 versions of the 2003 K-State at Nebraska football game on KZfaq now. Maybe you are aware. powercathill posted the KSU VHS & DVD version shown in their comment. I see that 2 versions of the regional ABC telecast has now been posted. One version is in 2 parts. Here are the links to 2 of the ABC versions of the game: 1. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mph6rbRpx6mbZ4U.html. The aspect ratio appears to be incorrect in this version as everything looks stretched. The correct aspect ratio is 4:3, and this appears to be 16:9 (the 2010 and later standard). 2. Part 1 - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/odp-paycrNbLl2Q.html. 3. Part 2 - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/n51idd2AzMXXgmg.html. More versions may get posted as well.

"Overrated" I would not be chanting that when the game was on the line for that final stop, if USC scored a touchdown and got the 2pt conversion you would have just lost the game.

USC had so much more talent, but just got outcoached in this game. Just look at how many players on USC's team would later go onto the NFL and play in National Championships later. They were good, but just not there yet.
@poodook28 күн бұрын
@@drewc8534 that’s a common theme with Bill Snyder coached teams!
@alexkain85645 күн бұрын
K-State had just as much talent as USC. Look at all the K-State players that got drafted just from the defensive side of the ball alone. Terence Newman, Rashad Washington, Terry Pierce all got drafted and Randy Jordan was a big time recruit on the opposite corner of Newman. KSU was definitely the best team USC played the entire 2002 season
