Most doctors are as intelligent as she, most have the same enthusiasm, many have the outgoing personality, until they practice about 10 years. In that 10 years they are so overworked, so frustrated by the government mandates, so angry that they have to have some bureaucrats telling them that they cannot take care of a sick patient because they are refused permission for a test or medication, that they turn into ogres. A quote from Hillary Clinton prior to the last election sums up the whole problem: "Medicine is too important to be left to Doctors". I pray that Violin MD does not become an ogre! Her enthusiasm is refreshing!

When the schools rank the applicants maybe they check social media; if so maybe they found this channel. Any hospital that sees this channel would see she is a passionate, dedicated, incredibly hard working doctor that cares about patients and is literally a one-in-a-million person. They should have been fighting over her.

Darren Schuyler you don’t have to go to college or spend a lot of money to get a job you enjoy. I know plenty of people who live very modest lives and did not go to college and enjoy what they do. I’m assuming with how rude you are you haven’t experienced enjoyment in little things before. But it’s possible to be happy without “making bank”

I think most doctors don’t beg on e doctors for money. They amount of stress and hard work they have to put in isn’t worth the money when you can become an engineer or a lawyer for half of the hassle. Like me I want to become a doctor and I know I won’t be making a good amount of money until I’m like 40 but that doesn’t bother me because I will actually be changing peoples lives

To be honest never would I have imagined you could choose that kind of field I though you could have been like me, I’d go for trauma. If only I could turn back time...I’d be a doctor in the ER 100%. I wish you all the best...here in Milan we’re grounded for this terrible coronavirus and who knows how it will go. We’re in our fourth week lockdown and we’re appreciating now a veeeeery shy flattening of the curve but very very little. My childhood friend was diagnosed with juvenile RA when we were 10. She was later diagnosed with lupus, and we lost her at age 30. Such a terrible disease.

I just finished my second Rituxan treatment and my Rheumatologist and I are hoping This puts me in remission. Just wait a couple years and she's gonna regret being a doctor. Just like if she wasn't a doctor she would regret not studying. Us humans are weird creatures that can never be satisfied and we always seek to have the things we don't currently have.

It's easy to say this. But the reality is, becoming a doctor is a lifelong battle of going up the stream of a strong current. Medical school breaks you down, the debt, no-sleep, clerkship, the pressure to score high in the USMLE, 80+ hour work weeks, not being in control of what you actually become, residency, bullying in the profession, mean professors and attendings literally saying ur not a good fit, low pay in the beginning, the competitiveness....Trust me, all medical students go in with passion, and slowly one by one people lose hope because we're not treated like humans. We're treated like robots by the system.

Ive watched several of her videos and love her energy. She is positive but not to the point of annoying and is proud of her accomplishments, but still has others that might not have been so fortunate in the front of her mind. I wish more people were like her.

I know this is old now and I’ve watched your recent videos BUT I’m so happy for you!! You got your first choice!!! Also! I’ve recently started watching other day in a life videos from other doctors and I just have to say YOU are the best I’ve watched! You actually bring us in and tell us more about what you’re doing in your work day and what has happened. I feel the others are scared about hippa to even say the basics that you do! I also love your personality and you are such a sweet caring person! The patients are in great hands with you!! 💕

Watching this months later and basically jumping around and crying of happiness for you! Hope you’re having a lot of fun with your studies, and stay safe during this C19! You and all your colleagues of all levels around the world, are all heroes and you all deserve a safe working environment and working conditions (where enough staff is one part)! I really hope this current situation will improve the safety and workload situation for everyone working in the medical fields or caring for the elderly, and I also hope the wages will go up for all those who are underpaid today (nurses, carers etc especially) Everyone working on the frontline of this pandemic are true heroes and society would be nothing without you guys! @Leaders aA The exact same process is used in the states. Just look up "Match Day" videos. The country doesn't decide what you HAVE to do. You apply, and interview and then both you and the program have to mutually agree. If you don't want to go into a certain speciality, you don't apply to it.... It's stressful, sure, but not a "scary kind of thinking"

having so much anxiety i live my whole life with uncertainty. it’s really interesting to see people like her who don’t do anything with uncertainty (like she said with her violin) tackle an uncertain situation. but the relief after finding out you got the specialty you’re meant to be in is amazing!! congratulations!!

morwenna they honestly don’t know very much about it.. i had an ER doctor tell me it was all in my head. i still have a rheumatologist and haven’t heard anything about switching though. i’ll try and update you if i ever do
