@@easycomeeasygo8901 Not exactly but I know that he drove with the car on a public road and the oil got really really hot and somehow something broke... The complete underbody was full of oil which ignited immediately and the car burnt completely down :( You can search for it on KZfaq: Just search "RIP Limo", that video got over 2 Mio views but unfortunately I think it's only in german :(

Yes, with these covers the oncoming air is not catched with the vorticles from the wheels. By that we get less drag.

@@moza1956 Not a dumb question at all. Short answer, yes it will. But this is a drag race and quite possibly there is a very long braking zone, so after the finish he doesn't even need to brake hard, yes the brakes will get hot, but nothing extreme or dangerous. It is still just one braking.

The engine was running on E85 which tends to be more smokier (it's water vapor though) than regular fuel.

Jack Carter Was ist das für ne Frage? Du meinst wohl, warum er sie drauf hat? Die hat er drauf, damit keine Luftverwirbelungen in den relativ tiefen BBS Felgen entstehen, die das Auto bremsen könnten. So gleitet die Luft mit weniger Widerstand und verwirbelungsfrei an der Karosserie vorbei.

Wobei das Auto eh nicht wirklich ausgereift zu sein scheint. Die Schaltverzögerungen, das Gehoppse und das Turboloch machen das Auto wohl langsamer als das bisschen Luft. Der hat noch keinen einzigen Stich gemacht. Vielleicht liegt es auch am Fahrer, da hilft selbst das ganze Carbon unter der Haube nichts.

Its cause he's entirely wasting 1st gear not allowing it to get to boost, so for the first second or so the car may actually by only making 250

You don't want to ruin a transmission which cannot handle 1000 horsepower. He was driving it carefully.

B5 S4's dont like to be rushed into gear, even when the trans is built, its the car not the driver.

He might have still been warming it up

The 01E transmission doesn't like much more than 450hp on gear 1 and 2 but 3 and up don't usually fail so since he doesn't want to break the trans he's launching slowly
