You can also use leca from the very start. Same process you do on cocopeat

I've made a batch of your nutrient water with npk, calcium and epsom for 3 leca plants. Please make a video of plants growing in this solution vs the general hydroponics series.

Ok a couple questions: what kind of coir peat was that exactly (brand & type)? It looked fibrous enough to maybe hold up in a net pot (I'm going to do kratky with a 5 gallon tote). The peat I ended up getting is just way too fine (probably perfect for a seed tray). Also, i was going to use clay pebbles in the net pots to help but i have ones that are either too big (like 16mm) or too small (4mm - fell right through the net pot slats). Is there a type of pebble that's "just right" for net pots that is small enough but won't fall through the slats? Fish tank stone maybe? I'm trying to find a way to max out reusable media like clay pebbles or something so I don't have to keep buying new media. This way I can just sprout & get it into kratky & go from there. I don't know if the lettuce sprouts would do well with the large leca pebbles I have. Might be too much space for them.

I save all my family’s socks with holes that would have wound up in the trash. They make a great sleeve for bottles 😉

wow..!!! do you ever need to change or clean the LECA ? how do you do so without hurting the plant or pulling the roots off

I just washed leca balls before using it in lettuce. Then after that I did not wash it again until the harvest time.

yeah you can put near the window with bright indirect sunlight
