This instrumental had a huge influence on why i wanted to make electronic music. that heavy filthy almost glitchy bass line over this kind of beat was a fresh sound at the time, a sound that went on to define genres for years to come. they weren’t afraid to have that synthy analog electronic sound in a hip hop track. it’s super simple but the essence is lowkey ahead of its time, and these guys were just tryna make a sexy r and b song. god damn. i would love to buy these stems and make a proper remix. what a banger.
