That first lap was kinda astounding really. Every decision Broughy made was the wrong one and it seemed the game was against him at the same time. 😂😂 One of the more entertaining gfreds. Appreciate all the laughs, Broughy!

Well, I guess I'm part of the exclusive 10% that didn't see the minimap until you mentioned it. I knew it was there, but my eyes were focused on where he was going. The minimap is too far outside of the main focus to be of help. The time it takes to look at it while driving at unsafe speeds in a city would definitely be more than enough to cause three crashes with NPC cars and scenery. The main issue with driving games to me is always the narrow FOV.

I was killed on the highway so I had to do the run again. I was also killed swapping my car on the way to the mini chilliad, to cap it off someone knocked me off the dirt road down the cliff on the way up to the reservoir. Your 'nightmare' was three laps of luxury compared to mine. 😂

I'm glad I stayed far enough away to not annoy with the noise, it was so hard to tell with people talking in my ear the whole time. Pity my footage wasn't usable though, I'm a better pilot than cameraman 😂

First lap parachute has to be the play, that's when you're competing most to get a car so the advantage is bigger if you pull it off well.

Almost every car Broughy got was based on GTA IV cars. The exceptions were 300r and the McLaren.

Maybe a TEAMfred or PASSENGERfred would be cool where people have to go together in every car and switch between passenger and driver every checkpoint(would be quite deadly during the checkpoints tho)

we actually tried that on the 8th gear server and it was pretty fun but you have to make sure your teammate is in voicechat with you or it will be a mess at the start and wont find eachother, ask me how i know xD it was fun tho, at each checkpoint we had to switch driver seat too

You should do this variation once a month permanently. 2 laps. Maybe because its a little different but i like the layout of the checkpoints. Still have a parachute choice like you said. Someone can easily make this on all platforms, doesnt always have to be 100 people. Now that youve done no rules sub 10 minute gfred, its only fitting theres a new variant to master. Just my 2 cents.

A lot of death in unfavourable places, combined with slow cars to choose from and some unfavourable interactions with other racers (like getting t-boned halfway over to the next crossing to your side), I would guess.

Second checkpoint is called a “cul de sac” why isn’t the regular airport jump the 3rd checkpoint

People call it the "quarry" checkpoint because that's what it corresponds to in normal Gfred. The point of Minifred is having all checkpoints closer together and in different locations to regular Gfred, but still in a similar way. That's why the arena checkpoint is where it is.
