I LOVE your waves!! These are fantastic ... just whisk me away to the seaside! The little starfish, right at the water's edge, are adorable! You have a wonderful eye for color and composition. I caught my breath when you wiped away the first attempt at waves! But of course, why not?!! Thank you, Julie! I'm so glad you were able to post this one today -- you teased us with it in yesterday's video!! Take care and stay safe!!

You have done a fantastic job with your first waves. Sharon Lindley is a really great person to watch for waves. I’ve seen her blow them away from the beach and then back towards it again. That seems to work for her. I’ve had a go and I think less is more with the white as it takes over! I really love them ❤️

Looking Good Julie! Remember that waves come into the beach. Maybe try blowing more into the beach? Others I have watched seem to do an initial blow away from the beach to get a mix going then the most blowing at the beach. Like the wind. That mold you use works awesome. Love your videos...

Julie what great pieces!! I’d leave the bits of yellow - looks like reflectives of the starfishes & the rocks. Le’Rez Angel White OR Just Resin Titanium White both make easier waves, cells & lacing. Lay down a strip of clear under the white. It helps the white spread out. The trick is to get in there with the heat gun & then quickly torch AND WAIT FOR THE MAGIC. It takes about two minutes for the cells & lacing to appear. I’m the same way & keep messing around trying to make it happen but when I finally left it alone.. Wowee! The other couple tips is to make the wave layer super thin so it won’t sink in, that’s why it looks so good but slowly disappears. (Whites are heavy & sinkers lol.) And & then if you want the wave to stretch really far into the dark blue area .. lift the mold & tilt it as you are doing the heat gun, then get back to level & quick torch. Then wait for the cells & lacing. Overall you did marvelous things here! Right at the end I can hear the birds and it felt like being at the beach. 🏖 I haven’t read all the comments so I do apologize if I have repeated someone else 👌 Thanks for sharing your beautiful art work Julie 🤗💯🤩👏👏

You have all the right stuff just needed to put less of the white and when you blow it don’t blow it all the way down below a little bit and then turn it backwards and blow up a little bit just for a second and then turn it back down and that’s when your wave goes over the other wave

When I do these my white has to be thinner than the clear. you generally can achieve that with the color you use thinning your resin. I drizzle tiny lines over each other to make the thicker line, the thin lines will break up better but because they're stacked they look thicker. the lacing isn't always easy but I find with a deeper clear base it works better for me.
@PouringYourHeartOut
@PouringYourHeartOut 3 жыл бұрын
Thankyou. What do you mean by a deeper clear base?
@Lsurah
@Lsurah 3 жыл бұрын
@@PouringYourHeartOut I meant more clear, just a bit deeper than what you had, so there's something to blow around under the white.

very nice Julie 👌. I struggle with the waves and lacing too. then I got some tips on fb. 1. I have the resin sit for little bit. 2 I don't put alcohol ink any more because it made casting craft thinner. I actually put a drop of oil to white the one you used for acrylic paint for cells and I got the lacing. I heard that "armor art" white pigment is better for the waves so I will be trying that next. I need more practice. it's not easy.👋

I’m wondering if you would do the white wave without the clear, blow & let it dry. Then do a clear coat to finish it. I think if the white is thinner (by itself), then it would flow & spread more easily. Just a thought.
