As there's no cure for MND (Motor Neurone Disease), I'm afraid it does mean Paul will eventually die from the disease.

@@brettthomson-hunter8237 Hi Brett. Yes, I now there is no cure, so I'm resigned to the fact that Paul, the character, will eventually die in this story-line. But I don't have to be happy about the decision the writers have made to kill off the character in this way. Not sure whether it's because the actor wants to leave the show or because they producers want to get rid of him. I think it's probably that Peter Ash wants to leave as he's quite popular so I don't think they would necessarily want to get rid of his character. I've just watched the next episode, and it's going to be pretty harrowing, as I said. Can't see him hanging around for 3 years? Cheers

@@brettthomson-hunter8237 Damn ... that's really bad ... well they've lost me! I tried to look this up on Google but couldn't get a clear picture of what was going on. Paul is the only reason I've ever watched this series and I thought he was a popular character? I thought that Peter's acting has been first class since the illness and his 'crying' has been terrific ... brought back memories of Aaron/ Danny Miller in Emmerdale, the greatest male cryer of all time. Guess I must be a sucker for crying men! Thanks Brett.
