As a pro-military conservative, I 100% agree. Shooting it down after it was going back over the ocean was the worst approach the US could’ve taken. It will initiate the same problems with China but China would have been already successful if it was a spying aircraft.

@@LUNAHT3 No they didn't. It flew over many uninhabited areas. They let it fly over the mainland to the ocean so they could reverse engineer it. The balloon created enough drag that they could save it from a watery grave

Not smoke trail, just water vapour reaction in stratosphere. One caused by the missile and the other caused by the F-22 that was flying.

The F 22s engine trails. And the Missile trail the plane fired..

The long trail is the Raptor's condensation trail and the smaller smoke trail was the Sidewinder's rocket motor firing.
