A gasoline car can go from CT to OH with the AC on in 12 hours. Can an electric car do that? What is the range with the temp -15F and the heat is on so the interior is comfortable? What is the charge time when it is -15F?

How often is it -15?
@commonsense19076 ай бұрын
@@waxy1962 There are many parts of the world that go down to -15. Even once if someone needs to be somewhere. Their car must be capable to bring them where they need to be when they need to be there at all times. Otherwise, the vehicle is not practical.

As an EV owner no we wouldn’t be able to match a time of a gas car for a trip of course. To be honest I wouldn’t take my ev on a long distance road trip, but I always rented cars for road trip’s anyways. I still enjoy my Tesla and would never want to go back to gas anyways

is it me or did they just became more expensive and with less miles? they are just worse than an average electric 5 years ago... is this what planned obsolescence does to a market? just reshape your pile of siht and make it break so it looks replaceable and functionless in comparison?

@@waxy1962 I make the 831 mile trip from Lancaster Pennsylvania to Jacksonville 3 times a year not including other mid range travels. I have no use for a short range car gas or electric. I brought a large full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make, i fuel up (once a month) at 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours. Range 570 miles which supersedes any EV. My jaguar XJl is paid off at 41K. Reliable in any temperature and is more than very comfortable but a pleasure to drive. Now i have piece of mind when i travel knowing that i not only have the ability to keep moving, but when i do stop, its usually for anything else but fueling. Keep the EV. I just don't have the time to stay awhile.

Wow what boast. Eventhough these new EVs look great, they still lack the proper improvements needed for many to make the transition. They still take to long to fully charge. How about being able to fully charge from absolute 0 to 100 percent in the same amount of time it takes to fully fuel a regular car at 3 to 5 minutes and not 20 minutes or 20 hours? Did you take notice that not one offers a range of atleast 500 miles? Why is it that short downtimes and long range is reserved for gas cars only? How about an EV that is available in a large full size luxury automobile which tesla dosent even make for guys like me? I brought the large full size luxurious Jaguar XJl which i fully fuel up once, (once a month)! and takes me 3 to 5 minutes depending on wether or not i run in and grab a coffee. No sitting around like some kid in time. My range is 570 miles which supersedes any EV and paid off at 41K. Now you come out with an EV with these fine qualities, Now we're talkin! I would be the first one at the gates to buy one. Even the good people at Tesla in Philadelphia Pennsylvania told me quote: "Have patience because that day is coming " Well then in that case I'll have patience and waite for the next generation EV with the hopes that these fine qualities and improvements have been applied. Till then I'll leave well enough alone........

If your EV loses power and gets stuck on a snowy road, there is no way to quickly replenish the power. Your only option is to have your car towed or leave it there and go home.

To manufacture each EV battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, 25,000 pounds of ore for copper Diging up 500,000 pounds of the earth's crust For just - one - battery.
