The Renault Dauphine (pronounced a bit like dow-fin-wah") was sold among several others, they just didn't take off like other European brands. One Renault I would have loved... a Alpine 110, those are so quirky and pretty quick for thenpre-2000s cars.

The eagle premiere was a Renault when Chrysler owned it. Also a lot of Nissan products are nothing more than Renault's. Them and Mitsubishi.

Luis, obviously many of these cars were high-speed and high-performance, but they were also quite dangerous with their combo of speed and lack of safety equipment. It isn't the competition the regulators didn't want, it was the increase in fatalities. Also, some of these cars were just not designed for the U.S. market, as stated in the video. Our emissions and safety standards are well known, but companies like Jaguar and Pagani were likely not interested in selling those exotic cars here because they know our rules. Jaguar and Peugeot left the U.S. market entirely, and Pagani is relatively new.

Cars shouldn't have airbags or any other safety. It will cause people to take more risks. The least accidents were made in the least safe cars. In an unsafe car you will drive carefully. In a safe Volvo Tank you think you can beat the whole world.

​​@@TheWheelDealChannel way to take a rough critique! I enjoyed the video, except for the repetitiveness regarding how each car didn't fit regulations. You would say just about the same thing twice in a row with nearly no expansion on the first telling. It's annoying for some of us(me), lol. You could be more efficient saying it once with slightly more detail instead of 2-3 time(and almost the same each time/not different or expanded enough to need to be said 2-3 times for each car). Fir example: this car did not meet safety or emissions regulations, including...yada yada yada, and also did not meet emissions standards yada yada.. That would be better than, "this car did not meet US regulations", then 2 seconds later saying " this care did not meet the us regulations in safety because it did not have this n that, and it also did not meet us regulations for emissions etc." The only reason for saying the set up about regs twice(or 3 times!) is when a show had gone to commercial. When the show comes back, they reset the stage by repeating the main pitch, then give details/expansion. When you literally do the set up twice back to back for no reason(this car was illegal because it didn't pass regs) it's just repetative for no reason at all. Or you're just trying to make the video longer. And another factor is everyone's attention span has shrank thanks to social media and how fast most movies, shows and of course shorts n reels are cut, so we are more likely than in the past to now notice fluff. But we also just don't enjoy repetative filler. I hope this helps you. You've got a good start. One more thing, I could be totally wrong, but I think Renault is pronounced like Reknow/rayno. The lt silent. That V6 Cleo is right up my alley! I got really excited about the GRC last year(but I'd rather have the GR Yaris!!!! Damn it that we can't get that car in the US!!!!!!! The govt said yes at first, then decided it was too 'disruptive' and did not allow it to be released for years. So glad we have the good ole govt watching out for us. those are put in place due to their own car industry failing to offer anything competitive so they try to find ways to stop the competition via importation restrictions and such thats why so many regulation comes about the nonsense of adaptive headlamps not being safe is stupid is better than blinding other motorist leading to collisions as i said stupid nonsense.
