Drivers making a mistake on a road is unlikely to hurt more than the driver, but mistakes in FLYING cars, like crashing into a multi story building, could kill HUNDREDS! Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of flying electric cars, but don't trust MILLIONS of drivers flying over my head without AI to ensure there's no collisions.

I remember a mate on rcgroups building his own for around £10k, yes it was not as finished looking as these but come on now those simple qudcopter type ones especially should not be costing $150k, its just greedy money grabbing cashing in on rich people with more money than sense. LOL!!!! Hate to ask how much some of these cost. I feel most of these are not very ideal as a road vehicle, too much aero garbage on them. Plus you probably need a pilots license. I can see an average person taking off in one of these and then crashing it somewhere. I don't think any of these are ready for prime time traffic conditions.

My concept of the perfect flying car is a "snap on snap off" 1-person lite weight micro electric car with a separate top fitting powerful snap on/off drone. When you get close to where you fly into you can snap off the cart and drive to where you need to go. You own the cart but the expensive drone is rented and arrives from the drone port ready to go. Keep the cost low and always have a fully charged snap on drone ready to go. Lots of Drone Ports (Think the new gas station) everywhere storing drones ready to go. On a long trip you just stop at a drone port and switch out the drone for one fully charged. 99% of people could afford this! Keep it simple...... use what we have.... Once perfected this will totally disrupter old fashion expensive cars, clogging up highways and save environment at same time. Let’s snap on a lite cart to a powerful drone (like Volvocopter 18 blade super structure} and make it work for everyone. AI CONTROLS WITH GPS SHOULD MAKE THIS AN AUTONOMOUS PILOT FROM POINT A TO B...... JUST TELL ALEXIS WHERE YOU WANT TO GO........ Then the whole trillion-dollar highway infrastructure budget can now be used to bulldoze down slums and build quality affordable homes with a drone port on the roof….! WOW….! WE NEED TO THINK SMALL INORDER TO GO BIG! I think this is totally feasible right now for under $20,000 plus monthly rental fees? A lot better than $250,000 plus which no one can afford.. Flying cars already exist they're called airplanes 😂 an airplane has wheels and can drive forward and turn left and right and you can increase and decrease speed...once you decide you wanna fly just get on a highway and increase speed until takeoff that's it! But these other "inventions" are practically drones or helicopters they're useless they're not actually flying cars which means a car that can drive and fly however an airplane is technically a flying car or you can also call it a driving plane 😂 the point is you can drive an airplane and fly it as I'm sure you all experienced it when you're in a plane and you drive on the runway and go left and right until you increase speed and takeoff the only thing you cannot do on an airplane is drive in reverse that's it but it is basically a flying car... flying cars don't have to look like cars they just need to be able to drive on roads and fly in the air, hence an airplane! OR you can just put wheels on a helicopter and have the propellers fold in while driving at the end of the day i think it's easier to make a helicopter that can drive rather than a car that can fly
