Really smart to go to Fun World, instead of trying to license Ghost Face from the Scream movies. It gave them a ton of leeway with Ghost Face, not just with outfits, but with the lore and everything else. I'm glad Fun World was so willing to do it, great License.

The name translating poorly and BHVR not wanting to have two killers with the same name makes a lot of sense, *but* the Spanish version of DBD translates The Plague into La Plaga, and The Blight into La Plaga. Spanish doesn't seem to have separate words for the two, and in English both plague and blight are practically synonyms with only a difference in nuance.

in the portuguese translation the trapper is called caçador, which translates to hunter, while the huntress is called caçadora, so when i first played the game i got really confused about these two

I think it's a brilliant name. Not only does it sound like "The Ghostface killer", something newspapers would call a mysterious killer on the rise, but calling him "The Ghostface" was a good idea, because ANYONE can be behind the mask, ANYONE can be Ghostface. There's no one distinct Ghostface, it's a series of killers with multiple people behind the persona. Yeah, "The Stalker" or "The Photographer" could've been good names, but it defeats the meaning behind the whole spirit of who Ghostface is.

I think all the killers have “The” in front of their names. And Tatum called billy Ghostface in the first movie. I dig it.

So him doing mori on not-last survivor kinda breaks it. But I see bigger problem with humming - he's a stealth killer and lullabies break any kind of stealth, so that would be a big nerf to him. Giving him humming even against last survivor would make it easier for them to escape through hatch/exit gates.

But imagine a map-wide hum the last Survivor could hear, but not pinpoint though. Like... you know you're done. You know you've fucked up. He's going to find you, and kill you, and his mask is the last thing you'll see. Terrifying.

I think it would take too long as they would need to first get the mask but also Wes Craven wasn't massive on lending them the Nightmare on Elm Street lisence and likely just decided to make their own

@@Johnatron Wes Craven died in 2015, game was released on 2016, before releasing they yet hasn't started making actual plans for bringing them into the game. Both franchises are owned by different studios from what I know. Wes Craven was actually really into adapting Ghostface into other media as long as it was done right. Idk why studios didn't originally agreed, but I do know that they both made a big mistake ( and in Scream case, saying that it wouldn't fit game is a really weak reasoning, that even I could easily argue with) and devs made mistakes about not fighting for them harder, by the course of action and all the leaks, I truly do believe that with GF they were both preaperd to either add GF alone or as a whole chapter (or at least original, like Bubba), but they rushed it. With NOLS I can understand it since it was really rough, sort timing and they cared a lot to bring it into the game, while obviously not having as much experience

I'm sad tho that there used to be a sound (of course taken from the og movie, but unfortunately I don't remember it's name) that played when Michael was close to tier 3, but unfortunately it's no longer used. I think it was a bug that made it not play so the devs decided to not fix the issue, as it could've been considered a buff.

Sort of like how the Dev mentioned "Entity magic", belts floating shows that The Entity has a part in Ghostie's outfit, as it makes it float. Practically, The Entity itself affects Ghost Face (who doesn't find it annoying), and therefore they have a "connection".

It’s a supernatural part of a rather simple outfit. A “gift” from the entity to show that Ghostface works for it. Trickster for example has no supernatural part about him, showing that Ghostface is in fact more connected to The Entity than Trickster.

@@MintSkull The floating pieces of cloth to me are more reminicent of spider legs or an extra pair of limbs, kind of like how the entity is well, depicted as a giant spider when taking survivors
