We all know that India is one of the oldest civilizations in the world with a super rich culture and history. But did you know that some of the stuff you use every single day was invented in the land of spices, sarees and Taj Mahal? From the buttons on your shirt to the shampoo in your shower, there are so many things we can’t go without we can thank India for.

SUMMARY
-Aryabhata, an Indian genius of math and astronomy, invented the “zero” as a symbol to represent “nothing” in the fifth century A.D.
-The Indus Valley Civilization was using rulers in 1500 B.C. and earlier.
-Chess originated from Chaturanga, and it was a strategic board game popular during the Gupta Empire, around the 6th century AD.
-In the 6th Century B.C., an Indian physician named Sushruta described the use of hundreds of medicinal plants and instructions for performing surgical procedures in his reference book.
-Sushruta not only invented plastic surgery but also performed the first cataract surgery.
-Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose presented his discovery of radio communication waves to the public in 1895.
-Ajay Bhatt came up with the idea of a universal port for devices as he was putting an SD card into his computer in the 1990s.
-People in Northern India were practicing yoga over 5,000 years ago.
-The Indians started cultivating cotton back in the 5th and 4th centuries B.C.
-Home toilets connected to a complicated sewage system, with canals, irrigation, and smart water management, existed in India over 5,000 years ago.
-Shampoo was invented in India in 1762 and was originally used for head massages.
-The first buttons were found during excavations in Mohenjo-Daro, one of the largest settlements of the Indus Valley Civilization.

Albert Einstein stated, “We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made.” He also said “Whenever he found difficulties in experiments, he referred Vedas for insights.” Mark Twain admitted, “India is, the cradle of the human race, the birthplace of human speech, the mother of history, the grandmother of legend, and the great grand mother of tradition. Our most valuable and most constructive materials in the history of man are treasured up in India only.”

Calculus was not directly invented by aryabhatta but in his trigonometric function of sin and cosine he used calculus for finding various values of kouti and jya...Bhaskaracharya used integral calculus in order to find out the areas of circle, sphere where he used calculus as a limit of sum...moreover Pell's equation was also actually discovered by Bhaskaracharya.Together with this, permutation and combination, so called pythagorus theorem accountancy, concept of Interest etc were the contributions of Indians

lma0 _ as I said he was not the first one. Archimedes was the one to give the value with geometrical approach and was close. 223/71 < π < 22/7 (that is 3.1408 < π < 3.1429). But Indians were using pi even before Archimedes. Astronomical calculations in the Shatapatha Brahmana (ca. 4th century BC) use a fractional approximation of 339/108 ≈ 3.139 (an accuracy of 9×10−4).Other Indian sources by about 150 BC treat π as √10 ≈ 3.1622.

Email was actually invented by Ray Tomilson but the problem was it was limited to within their network, Siva Ayyadurai worked on the available knowledge and made it to what we use today and yes he coined the term "EMAIL". And further to that in 1973 Ray and 3 others from MIT (including one Indian - Abhay Bhushan) did define standards for modern email headers. I believe that its Siva who made what we use today and Ray who laid the foundation. I am not entirely sure about these though, read somewhere long ago.

sreerag aniyoor Please share this Mark Twain saying with your foreign friends . Open their eyes as these foreigners are brainwashed about India by their specific governments. When Indians go to their countries , the people of these countries mistreat Indians despite their highest education and talents. This mistreatment should be stopped.

@greedyprogrammer2075
@greedyprogrammer2075 5 жыл бұрын
@@B4K5H1 it's not the case of being Hindu or muslim it's the case of being India when mugals rule the country they have tried to develope the country (mainly time of akhbar because all before and after akhbar all were thinking to rule the country but akhbar after some time realised he must not rule but also develope) and before that and at that time Bharat was sharing the largest GDP share and and poverty was a way long from Bharat but when British come they established their colonies and company in the country they used there DIVIDE AND RULE policy the were creating dispute between Hindu-Muslim between shatriya-harijan and many other they also stole all the precious diamond Kohinoor they stole our gold from the our country they created so called education system which teaches students how to be clerk (job seekers) and not job creator. They end up some rituals like sati which was good but they don't try to end dispute between us and while leaving country they divided the country and looted our all gold and diamond. The country was divided because of their divide and rule policy as when they created a scene of fight between Hindu-Muslim the country divided into three parts Bharat, Pakistan, Bangladesh and before British come to our country BHARAT was very big but the foreners who tried to rule the country divided our country. They also looted our culture they destroyed our books upnishad and many other. So my friend I am here not to reporters the past but I am here to say that we can be one and bring back our rich culture and traditions in favour of humanity again which will take our country again to the level of that which it was in the past. You all have to just do a thing that stop thinking like a job seeker think like a job creator which will help you and your country to get more sucess.

@rohan thakkar bro I m sry I can't write in Hindi because I don't know Hindi I can understand but I can't write it. I am from karnataka so my mother tongue is Kannada and so many peoples don't know Kannada here. So that's why I used to write in English.. & I won't forget my mother tongue & Hindu culture. English is just a language not a knowledge. . I proud to be a Hindu and indian. Jai Hind.

@UCvalQ-PHwy2JHoykz4-hPsg that man is a farce who didn’t know what he was talking about. Simply a man infatuated with something he knows nothing about. The aryans gave you an abundance in culture making it the most dominant in Indian identity. Silver was first mined in Anatolia. Agriculture had first begun in the Fertile Crescent. So many lies from you hindu nationalists. Without our civilization (western) we would all be staring at mathematical tablets from ancient babylon. Without our civilization we would all be using cannons.

Eric Decamps he told already that British ruled india and looted everything and left india with nothing but poverty so many indians were left illetrate( this happened because indians were not united). But now people are educated but there is a psychology of indians to litter around the place which is already dirty and we are cleaning such places so people don't litter around. There are many clean and beautiful places in india which are visited by many foreigners so indian is not place in india is dirty
