Prayers do not get answered and it is always people that are relied on to help. But it is not right to guilt others into forking up financial help, which is ALWAYS the biggest help needed and asked for, isn't it? People are struggling, unless they are wealthy and although in the best position to financially support others, (not a good commitment or responsibility for anyone, unless for a family member) they rightfully do not want to become someone others totally depend upon. A person in a bad position/situation needs to work out something that is best for all, not to constantly cry out for help or keep praying for divine help when it is obvious that it is not coming. So far, it seems that ONLY other humans are capable of helping, but they should not suddenly be relied on to keep someone else going who should be leading their own life, and finding their own solution, as most of us have had to do and are still doing.

That single reference ruined it for my purposes too. I was already working on the introduction I was going to use to hopefully open up a discussion with cessassionist friends.
