Great video. The only point I have a slight issue with is that "if you are not well, you can't really do much in the world" (9:30). I agree with you that self-care is extremely important, but I think it's important to say that people with disabilities and impairing conditions who are "unwell" can still create incredible things of value!! Sometimes it's not about "waiting" until you're well, but about getting around that and starting anyways. But of course I agree with what you meant!

I just recently created a little corner for myself and it made a huge difference! I felt so restless not having my own area where I could be left alone and have complete silence. And what you said about perfection is so true and something I really struggle with.

I think I need to shed a part of myself that I wanted to keep, but it's fading away. Specifically, I need to let go of my desire to draw, because I've been forcing it, instead of loving it, and it just doesn't make me happy anymore. This is tough, because I drew for several years as my personal therapy, and now... I don't feel the passion I used to. But, I'm not kicking it out of my life so much as letting it go. If I ever truly want to draw again, I'd rather it not be forced. It could become a passion again, but not now. Thank you for helping me realize this.

A note on letting yourself get bored: don’t consume too much media as well. Letting yourself be bored includes turning off some content that may be creating a mental overload that is blocking your creativity. Being in the quiet for a large portion of the day may also help with creativity.

As someone who works with professional (successful) creatives, perhaps consider adding The following: 1. Follow deadlines. 2. Follow directions (from director, or clients, or guidelines) 3. Lastly, Creatives are consistent. If you are doing crappy job, consider switching careers or get proper training. Try SKILLSHARE first, Then get aprenticed or go to School. Not positive but definitely realistic. Creatives look fun but its a job. When you get to this realization, you are under charging ;) Great video though :) maybe these are next step habits.

Taking action so works as a way of building momentum. I took action from a point of indecision and as a result am doing a KZfaq collab on makeup this week I reached out to two people and it is happening....so exciting, all planned by e mail. It happens in a completely opposite way, if I feel stuck I need to have a long rest, and by long I mean reaaaaally long. Then suddenly one day I'm walking to uni and I find inspiration again. If I try and keep going writing all I'm going to get is frustration.

My year is fantastic. I finished all the big projects I was working on last year. My plan was to start posting on KZfaq regularly in March but on a whim I started at the beginning of the year with an easy to produce Q&A show I call A4Q (Answers 4 Questions in 4 minutes or less). A few videos go picked up by some big film blogs and one got shopped around by a bigger filmmaking youtuber. I hit 2K subs and I'm getting way more conformable in front of the camera. I am in the healthiest relationship of my life and enjoying a great balance with it all. I you and everyone in the group is doing well or at least growing. Love you
