For the ENB, you can actually adjust tones and I think Reactor has a few presets with different color shades. Also, heads up about NAC X, if you use Workshop Plus or Sim Settlements (Both by the same author) NAC will cause a crash if "Fly in Workshop mode" is enabled with either of those two mods. You can turn that setting off and they run together fine. Fun fact about pine forest redone, you can use the optional mist plugin without the tree plugin, which means it works with any other tree mod.

ELFX + ELFX Interior fog overhaul + Fr4nnson's Light tweaks is a really good combination. ELFX on its own makes some overdramatic shadows and some serious JJ lens flares on some light fixtures. Fr4nnsons's only effects light space, so it works perfectly at taming the shadows and exaggerated lighting. The result is surprisingly good and arguably the most realistic lighting i've actually been able to achieve.

Are you able to adjust your settings for reactor through a mod menu? Or do you use the Shift+Enter input? I’ve been trying to download mod config manager but it just won’t show up in the menu for me no matter what I do. I’ve tried bypassing vortex and downloading straight to fallout but maybe I’m doing that wrong. I also downloaded all the required mods that Reactor requires and it looks really nice, and the forced v-sync helped raise my framed passed a locked 67

I tried to use elfx along with quantum horizons enb and it made the game even darker, specially in interiors. Does Reactor cause the same effect?

Yeah it can get pretty dark, but not so much you can’t see anything though I never need a flashlight , but that’s my experience

So the mcm nac x configuration requires mod menu manager. Did you figure out how to get the mod configure selection to show up in your pause menu? Luckily mcm nac x can be configured if u install it so it still shows it in the armor tab on the pip boy. I havent gotten there yet, but i hope it works. Man 14 hours of moding. And ive already spent 15 hours prior to this. Trying to get everything working. Thats not just the mods u suggested. I went hard after i learned f4se is patched. I think alot of the mods that need that still need to be updated to work properly tho.

there should be LODs at a certain distance like Unreal uses to increase performance. There's also culling as we should have the computation set to our field of view only. We shouldn't be turning on 4k texture resolution at all times but then again this is an old game.

I actually enjoyed it, specially with the plot twist it had, I went in thinking it would be like the usual 3 episodes of movie length type release but it’s a full on tv show with a season 2 already in the works so I can’t wait

Master Cheesy, since you dont use the post effects of Reactor, you should try Lightweight lighting with Spectrum ENB. Its way more performance friendly and looks like vanilla colouring similar to you vid. I myself love Reactor, but i do tweak it a bit to be less colourfull but i do keep the tint and im also not running NAC X, just good old True Storms, Still works pretty well with Reactor. Also Another pine forest doesnt have terrain LOD by the looks of it, you could try to generate it or use the new grasslands LOD mod which will give you sort of a greenish terrain LOD.

@@mastercheesey Brother you are free to do whatever you want with your game, just saying that if you are not using the tint, vignette,etc...there are more performance friendly mods that will get you the look you want without being so heavy. I just stick to Reactor due to the Depth of field and particle effects being really good. I cant use EPO with other Lighting/ENB combinations, just doesnt look the same.

@@I3loodyTV My issue with NAC X is that in order to have it installed i need to have 5 or 6 other patches associated with it ( Water Lods,godrays,fogline,etc...) Not only that i tried that compatibility patch for a desperados overhaul playthrough ( True Storms is the only one that has good Duststorms) and it didnt work too well. Im curious to try out Vivid weathers and True storms, ive heard that the lighting and cloud textures on vivid weathers is pretty good.

Another Pine Forest is causing a "Incompatible Mod Archive" error in Vortex. I'm using a clean install with new SE 0.7.1, Address Library, and Updated UF4P.

Is far as I'm aware enhanced lights and effects doesn't cover DLC since the mod was abandoned before the DLC came out

I didn’t even know about that , there is a patch to use Ultra interior lighting with elfx so maybe it extends there

@@mastercheesey yeah I just got back into Fallout 4 modding as I was about to start a Channel about Skyrim but I figured I'd hop on the trend and I was definitely glad to find an alternative to elfx since I remember having the hardest time getting the lighting correct on my previous playthrough back in the day. I'm also really glad that I found a way to manually download an older version of the game on Steam so I can play pre next gen without using a downgrader while also making the game impossible to update . If you're curious how to do that and you think your followers might want that information I can paste it in the comments

@@dantauche7917 Ultra interior lighting and Ultra exterior lighting they function similar to elfx but they edit the light sources themselves rather than the light source placement so they play much better with mods that alter exterior and interior locations and they cover the DLC unlike enhanced lights and effects

If you know how to use steam console you can actually download an older version of the game and if you tweak some settings you can make it so Bethesda can never update your game again

Another pine forest imo, a forest trees are too small so you clip through them sometimes and way too dense , can’t see anything ahead of you, but some people love it

Unless it has been fixed I discovered one bad texture a couple of years ago in A Forest which gave me a crash I was able to duplicate 100% of the time when exiting the police department after meeting Paladin Danse.

Gotta be honest, I prefer "A Forest" over "Pine Forest". I tried both, but I like the vibe of A Forest better and that one is compatible with More Vines and stuff like that too. But hey, all about taste so that's just my choice. :D

most of fallout 4 mods go to xbox/playstation since most mods dont require script extender on fallout 4 but playstation is limited

Its interesting that ELFX runs better than UIL & UEL, as most people have way more performance issues with ELFX, and ELFX isn't finished and doesn't cover DLC. Also, if your going to disable Post Processing, you might as well not have an ENB, as that is what makes it look good. I personally just disable vignette, the extra sharpening (it makes my grass mods look trippy) and chromatic aberration. REACTOR is very colorful, but turn off the Post Processing and it looks flat and dull. NAC X is okay, but a huge performance hit and mega feature creep, Lightweight Lighting is much better, and gives good lighting and weather with no performance hit. I know in Skyrim ELFX and their version of NAC X is good, but that's not the case in Fallout 4.

I tested with both , back and forth with no mod enabled, but requirements and enb for fps counter , elfx by far had less drawcalls than UIL and UEL, if you have high drawcalls with elfx it’s not placed correctly in your load order then you’ll see dips, but if you sort it correctly you won’t notice much of a drawcall increase at all And as for the enb side of it, i dunno what to tell ya bud, the post processing turned off + nac x is how I make my game look good

lol dude disclaimer says that not all the mods you listed may work. The first ENB mod you mentions requires F4SE. That wont work. I dont know why you didnt edit that out. It says 5 days ago so thats after the patch. I would of just deleted that. I havent watched the full vid yet but Im hoping for some better graphics. Imma keep watching. Thanks for video regardless. K nac x mcm also needs other mods that require F4SE. And im going to keep everying i bitched about and say at the end. I learned that F4SE has been updated. Would of made me look a little less dumb if you mentioned that haha. Thanks bro I downloaded some of these

@@mastercheesey Ok so im figuring this out. But I ran into a speed bump. ENB Reactor installation instructions say i need ENB Lighting Overhaul. The link just sends me to the download screen and I cant find it on nexus, forcing me to manually install it instead of using my manager.. I dont know where to place the files. Is in directly in the game folder or is it in Data?
