12 Min- Morning Tai Chi Warm up exercise to wake up your body
Warming up exercise are one of the important part in Tai Chi practice or any others kind of martial arts, It is a very effective way to improve your muscle and tendon’s flexibility and joints mobility, it also helps the blood to circulate more efficiently. This is turn makes the Qi energy stronger , helping the blood to circulate even more efficiently.
Most of martial arts, style or instructor has a particular way to warm up. However, all warming up should prepare your body for the lesson ahead and ensure your improvement over time.
After the warming up, it will bring you the calmness and softness in your body, it make your body move more flow and relax in the TaiChi form.
The health benefits of the warming up?
warm your muscles and gradually increase your body temperature
help prevent injuries
increase elasticity of blood vessels at the capillary level
speed up the healing process
improve concentration
improve posture, flexibility,stance and agility
The warming up must be done slowly and correctly with the goal of waking up the tissues and ensuring the joints are lubricated in order to move freely and gently. The joints need to get the major muscle groups moving slowly, continuously and smoothly. Pay attention to any stiffness, pain, weakness, tightness or tension. Discontinue any movement that is painful and always stay within your comfort range.
It is good to spend 10 - 15 min for the warming up and stretching before your Tai Chi Form practice.

It would be helpful for beginners if you ‘mirror’ the movement. When you say ‘right leg forward’ you could put your left leg forward so it’s easier for your student - like looking in the mirror. Thank you for your good work!

I'm getting a lot out of your videos and reels and IG Lives, Ping. Gotta be honest though, I probably won't ever go all the way and buy one of your official form training packages, but I would still very much like to support you for everything you do. Is there any other way that can be done besides buying a training series off your website? Appreciate you
