Once the construction drawings have been approved, the project will then be awarded to a contractor by the client through a consultant. The construction of the proposed project will begin. Check out the 12 Stages/Steps of construction.

When I used to work in construction, we had about 35 steps, including plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, insulation, framing, windows, drywall, cabinets, trim, and flooring. This video should be called "12 steps of site prep and concrete"

@@dant1786 Every line on your project schedule is a step. You learn by doing the projects and every time you feel you're over you're head or don't know something it's normal- you'll know it the next time you do it. It takes years of observing, you'll get it.

For the step 2, we already use the total station or gps so that we can establish the exact location of the structure. This method of construction were not include some trades like MEFPS & Architectural works.

None of this is incorrect by any means, but this is 12 steps of one specific project, I feel like this list should be more broad to cover construction of many types of structures and in different scenarios

I’m 15 and I wanna be a civil engineer/architect and I’m watching this at an early age but I know I have a lot to learn but I choose this career because of the experience it must be to communicate with others and to construct building and structures for future generations. At my age I guess I just need to get through school because college is what matters

Why are perimeter blocks important when a floor finish level is significantly different to outdoor level?

It will serve as a barrier that terminates the difference in level. But more than 1.2m difference needs a retaining wall already.

PCC is usually composed of 10 cm thick lean concrete, but may not be 10 mm, please check , thank you

Need an advise. If my rcc colum is 300mm for a three story dormitory. Are my outer walls also has 300mm thickness?

Not necessary to be 300mm thick also. The outerwalls if not load bearing is usually 250mm thick.

It will be a 3 story dormitory with 10 rooms. I mean only the first floor will have the rooms and bathrooms. The 2nd one will just be a big hall
