I have had my mat for a few months too and it changed the game for me to create! I have a LOT of whites, white marble in my craftroom and for me it was important to me to have a mat that matched + I suffer from anxiety and depression and bright colors help me. So when I found out about Glassboard Studio, I saved my pennies and bought the 18 x 24 mat with the flowers on the edges and I LOVE it! I'm much more inspired to make cards now and sometimes I just stare at it LOL hee hee! It is so pretty, love that it is magnetic and I've done all sorts of things on it, alcohol ink blending, die ink blending, watercolor, cutting/trimming and it just cleans right up. I love how heavy it is too, it doesn't shift no matter what. I even put my lil Sizzix Sidekick on it and it locks down on the magnetic surface and never moves while I'm die cutting! So love this mat!

That is so good to know! I just got a sidekick and I wanted to get this glass mat I saw one other card maker on KZfaq have one and I was like it’s expensive but I bet it will be totally worth it! Happy crafting!!

You convinced me. I just ordered the true white magnetic in 24x36. I have always wanted a magnetic craft mat which is large enough for my work surface. I have magnetic rulers already. Finally, I’ll be able to mat my greeting cards evenly.

Oh my! Carissa! Someone sent me to your post about this and I am SUPER tempted to get one. I already have gone through TWO self healing mats and this might be the perfect one. Though I don't know if I want white or black. But if I decide, I'll shout this video out in the first video I use it for!

I have this glass mat too and thoroughly enjoy using it. I got the magnetic board and it really holds well with the bar magnets. I’m almost too afraid that the magnets are too strong and I would accidentally drop them and shatter the glass…hope not!

Hi, Carissa. I got that mat a while back and i love it. I wish it had been around years ago before i bought a glass mat and a self healing mat and a magnetic mat, now i have them all in one. I bought the aqua colored one and love it. It is so pretty to look at and its super functional. awesome discount code though, i only had a 20% off. I like the little magnets they sell that look like a chess piece. Super cute and handy. Has your craft room changed since your tour a few years ago? Going to find that video and watch it again. Your room is awesome and looks so neat and organized.

Hello Carissa! I ordered one today using your amazing discount! I’m so excited! I wanted to ask you about the magnets and using Misti stamping platforms with these magnetized glass mats. Do you know if they will play nice together?

It’s totally fine….and they work. I just find that I like something a little stronger than the Misti magnets. The glass is about 1/4 inch thick, which means you need a strong magnet.

That looks wonderful. Now, the big selling point for me, does it hold your dies in place, prevent them from moving or falling on the floor? I always seem to drop tiny dies on the floor and spend a lot of time looking for them. If the mat worked like those magnetic sheets for dies, that would be wonderful. No. It doesn’t hold dies in place. It’s magnetic meaning the magnets stick to it…basically it’s metal backed. But it is not a giant magnet. That would me dangerous for your cell phone and such.

Now the only image I have in my head is opening the utensils drawer and all the forks and knives flying towards the mat! :-) :-) :-) that would be a hazard for sure! But the mat still seems like a very good option for many things, and it looks gorgeous.

It’s glass….So it’s weighty. But not so heavy that you can’t pick it up and move it.

I have a black glass mat. I love the glass but don't like the black color. I was excited to see this video for a good looking white mat. (I also really like the turquoise) Question... On the Glass Board website, I see diagonal lines on the mats. Does your board have diagonal lines? I didn't see any in your photos. I don't prefer them, but there may not be an option.

Those diagonal lines are on the largest size only from what I can tell.

Do you have trouble with scissors and every other metal thing clinging too hard to the magnetic surface? I can never find things on my black glass mat and it also scratched when I cut on it. Definitely interested -- just wonder about the intensity of the magnet.

The mat itself is not a magnet. It has a metal backing which makes magnets stick to it.

How do you solve the issue of glaring lights or bad shadow for us making videos? I still didn’t find the perfect lighting set up with my glass craftmat 😕any tip?

I only use my ceiling lights and chandelier when filming. You can actually see it’s reflection in the first part of the video. If they’re not directly over the surface you should be good.
