I'd like to add, screen her friends and family. The people around her tell a lot about her true character.

That's a double-edged sword in a lot of ways. Yes, it can be revealing, especially when you look at the people she chooses to have in her life, not just the people she had no say in being her family. However, I've known many people, both men and women, who when they found the right person for them, pulled away from the toxic and dangerous relationships to be with the person they loved. Many people, especially people who struggle with anxiety, depression, and general low self-esteem, surround themselves with people who make them feel better about themselves, and sometimes when they aren't fortunate enough to find people who lift them up, they seek out people who, by comparison, make them see the good inside themselves. So by all means, yes, be cautious if everyone they surround themselves with is a trash human being, but don't let that immediately send you running.

#1 Don't make the most important decision in your life with your hormones. 3:00 #2 Don't move in. (also on Rollo Tomassi's list). 5:36 #3 Address red flags early. 7:30 (bipolar, reckless spender) #4 Don't date crazy women. 9:37 #5 Communicate on important matters (deal-breakers). 11:56 #6 Consider legal documentation. 15:00 #7 Don't become the perpetual nice-guy; don't let your life revolve around her. #8 Do not ditch your friends and hobbies. Build your band of brothers. #9 Don't overlook red flags; don't sweep problems under the rug #10 Be the alpha. Don't coast. (Chase excellence, not women) #11 Continue to pursue her (woo her, care for her). #12 Continue to grow and self-develop.

I will say, the no sex before marriage rule I can understand (not something I practiced, but I can see your argument) but I WHOLLY disagree about the living together element. I'm glad it worked for you, but I learned more about my current wife during the 1 year we lived together before marriage than the 3 years we were together before that. It just changes things. Let's you see what your future will really be like on a daily, mundane basis

Just your opinion Ryan those who agree have similar opinions. Since you are the epitome of marriage advice and speak profoundly about what not what to do, not once have you mentioned spiritual connection. You speak from the ego minset, read some Edgar or Deepak Chopra and educate yourself. Oh by the way calling your wife her so many times is belittling Plus makes you look like even though you say equal you really feel more powerful. This video is clearly making you think your the best husband in the world. I applaud all the men out there doing the best and the women who love them. My dad raised me and wasn’t married.

Ryan, I disagree with you on not having sex before marriage. In marriage there is always 3 things that create arguments, money, kids, and sex. You need to know if your sexually compatible. Because some people are just not no matter how much you might love them. Sex is a huge part of a healthy relationship and not knowing before you marry is wrong.

You should absolutely move into together BEFORE marriage. I’ve seen too many people living apart get married move in together and the marriage lasts 6 months because they did not know the person completely. How many best friends get an apartment together and in a 1 year lease they hate each other and don’t speak. Happens all the time. You don’t know someone until you live with them. The risk of having to move boxes is less than having to get a divorce and move boxes. 💭

I think "choosing a spouse" should be a coarse in school. The main fallacy that sets a marriage off on a bad direction is the concept of "falling in love". This belief in a magical one person for another person and no other does not serve you well when the magic fades. Marriage is for long after this magic fades and a relationship dependent on this magic will have nothing when it fades.

Guys marry someone without knowing that she is bat guano crazy then wonder why the marriage went south. In reference to #2, my wife and I lived together for six months before being married. We have been married for 26 years and counting. We have been together since 1991.

Re: The major issue (as I see it) surrounding pre-marital sex. As far as I am concerned the problem is one of trust. If you cannot wait until after your (both m&f) vows have been publicly spoken and you are declared man and wife then you(male and leader???) place the woman who is now your wife in the uncomfortable position of wondering (questioning???) whether you married them only because they were erotically attractive and were great in bed or because you genuinely loved them as people apart from sex. Pre-marital sex is only likely to bring up fears of possible abandonment ( by you, the man) when she gets older and possibly less physically attractive. It's better to wait until after the I do's have been publicly affirmed by a clergy person.

Commit to each other before sex. Commit. Don’t rush things. I don’t think I could not have sex with someone I was in love with and wanted to be my husband for four years...I think maybe 6 months tops? Idk...people have needs. When you know, you know. I’m gonna be one of those people who married really quickly...like 4-8 months I’d probably be good n ready. I know in the first few days whether we have a future. If we don’t, we absolutely will not be getting married, we won’t even continue to date. If we do, and everything’s looking good...I’d like marriage to happen in a timely manner, mostly because I’m over dating and being a girlfriend and ready to level up and proceed with the next stage of partnered life. I’m not crazy, that’s just how I like to do things...purposefully.

This may get some back lash but for me one of the things I've done in my marriage is made sure I provide for her in a way that I don't feel intimidated by her having Male freinds. Like Ryan said alot of the time people (both men and women) step out because something is missing, if you make sure you are providing for her needs AND the needs of your family then there should be no reason you would be worried if she has Male friends and she wont feel intimidated of your female friends.
@starke6666
@starke6666 4 жыл бұрын
Anthony Valenze bullshit. What you call "providing for her needs" is not necessarily always enough for her. Maybe you have a deep argument and she starts to reciprocate the flirting from the guy at work who is better looking, makes more money than you. and is exciting purely because he isn't you. You are never safe. I wish you the best, but most men don't see it coming. Hypergamy is real. There is one way you could assure she will never leave or stray : If you are a 10 and she is a one.

To paraphrase Robin Williams, being alone is better than being with someone who makes you feel alone. He would know having been married thrice, two ending in divorce and the third ending with his suicide. And of course not getting married, or even not pursuing romantic relationships at all, doesn't mean you have to be alone. You can still have friends. How bout you take on a challenge of sticking your finger into a spinning lawnmower blade and pulling it out before it gets cut off? What, are you sissy?
@robinredick8952
@robinredick8952 4 жыл бұрын
@@aramfingal5180 I understand your feelings and even shared them for a short time. I did take the risk 23 years ago, after making an extensive character evaluation first (of her and of myself). Still married and it's better every year. I'm sorry it's not that way for everyone. It can be if both people prepare for a life of marriage before getting married, commit to the marriage, and keep growing together. Sadly, some men do get taken advantage of. So do many women. Many people use this as an excuse to avoid serious relationships. Some even treat people like disposable chattle. That, of course, perpetuates the problem of distrust. I'll read up on Robin Williams' 3 marriages. It could be that he was a completely devoted, hard working, and family oriented husband all 3 times and just got jipped. It could also be that a man of 3 divorces had either bad discernment regarding good partners or some character challenges that were hard to live with.

You say that because you have the parts youre compatible I dont think thats true if you are not experinced sexually even if its just being inexperience with her you wont know what she likes you may not be able to please her and she'll lose a huge amount of respect for you if on your wedding night you cant do what she expected. I can’t see myself going after an ex husband’s financial assets...it’s low class and a trashy beggar mentality, in my opinion. I will never be money grubbing gold digger, I’d rather live in a shack eating bananas for the rest of my life. And to be perfectly honest, I don’t need it, I pride myself on having plenty of my own. But I have had many experiences with males feeling entitled to and stealing MY assets, so I would absolutely protect myself and my wealth from them. I’d prefer however, a partner who holds the same values and has much of his own/doesn’t ever feel the need to fight me for money. And has the strength of character and integrity to not switch up on me if our relationship turns sour.

@@RandomAnonn Such a dumbed down label. What's 'crazy' or 'insane'? You or the bloke in the vid don't give actual definitions of this or any real examples of what constitutes 'insanity'. Suggesting they 'threaten you physically' just because they're 'crazy' doesn't hold. There were causes and reasons for this reaction. Not because they're 'crazy'. They probably need help themselves... And a partner with patience and care. 'Wildness' (???) is apparently a red flag, what does that mean? He doesn't define it in the video, nor gives specific examples of how that apparently affects the relationship. Wildness to one person is different to another. Frankly he probably just means independence and motivation, which he'd perceive as hurting his ego and control over her. The video is problematic in other ways. Nothing about same-sex marriage, just assumes heterosexuality. The confidence of this bloke is outstanding, that vaguery can just applying to everyone, that his views work for everyone. The way he discusses men and women as though they all behave in the same gendered way is weird. There's a lot patriarchal, man-must-be-king bullshit here too.

Marriage is an institution of God. Prenups are poison. Anything you won't give to the marriage becomes an idol; you're telling your spouse something is more important to you than them. Priorities; God first, spouse second, kids third.

There are no good reasons for a man to get married anymore. there are a lot of great men out there that never married. You do not need a woman to become a great or good man. Besides women can make you do things you wouldn't believe you'll do.

You should make a new video about your divorce and why it didn’t work. Because right now all this “commitment” stuff you talking about is absolute bullsh$&.

One must also realize that the woman should not have been with a man before marriage, not just the one she's marrying.... But any man.... You do not want her excessive baggage from previous males weighing down your relationship.... Besides marriage is a gift given by a man to a virgin Bride.... That is the origination of marriage.... A male promising the entiriety of his resources to this woman and the children they shall create together.... A female promising the entiriety of her intimacy(loyalty)to this man for the children they shall create together... A non virgin bride is the equivalent of a multiple baby momma Groom.... Her loyalties are split and his resources are split....

@@starke6666 never said it would be easy... But if men made that stipulation for marriage then the horror of sluts not being married will teach the next generation to not be one if they want marriage.... You can't save these of this generation but you can influence the next....

Maybe I’m the minority here but if you think you may need a prenup you probably shouldn’t get married. Can’t agree with that advice.

I stopped watching after, "don't have sex before marriage". It turns sex into a pseudo-reward for marriage, but the reward is being with someone you love - emotional connections will form regardless of having sex. I can get on with don't have unprotected sex, that's easy; but no sex at all? Good luck. The real tip is don't date American women.

Really man your going to be like that, just because you dont agree with no sex before marriage your going to unsubscribe. Living life that way will get you no where in life. Here's a tip take in advice and points of view from everywhere and use what works in your life and set aside what dosent work for your values, not all of what he says I agree with but I dont have to to see the value in what he is teaching I use what he says that works in my life and the other stuff I dont simple. Good luck in life.

Anthony Valenze that’s correct. I like to make my decisions based on sound, well-articulated arguments. This particular channel hasn’t offered me anything new that I don’t already have from other channels/sources. So yes, I’m making the decision to unsubscribe. I also wish you good luck in your life.

@@logandwilliams Clearly you felt the need to tell us you are unsubscribing. Why is that? Also why do you disagree, I haven't seen a counter argument.

HSP it’s feedback. Many people welcome it. I have no need to engage in a counter argument for a statement. You could call it agreeing to disagree. It’s my prerogative to do that and I’m exercising that right. Thanks for your comment!

Wanted to like this video but I cringed after rule 1 and 2. I don't know anyone anymore that abstains or doesn't live together prior to marriage. People change between the honeymoon "dating" scene and marriage. Don't fall into the trap. I like your videos but I down voted this one.
