12 Tips & Tricks - South Park: The Fractured But Whole

A dozen tips to save you headaches while play The Fractured But Whole!
►Choosing a Starting Class
At the beginning of Fractured But Whole, you choose 1 of 3 classes for the new kid. Don’t stress over which class is best, because you can change class at any time. Eventually get multiple classes and can mix and match skills from each
►Punch Punch Punch
Punch every mailbox every time, the scrap will be very helpful for crafting and the mailboxes, parking meters and things like that reset frequently
►Don’t sell scrap!
Craft an artifact and sell that. Buy glue or duct tape or whatever you need and craft items, the total sale value is much higher when crafting an item then selling vs selling individual parts. The Coon’s store has all items you need to craft
►Game Structure
4 days 3 nights. As you transition to nighttime, you will be given a prompt to change out of your costume. If you say yes, you will be
Nighttime missions
you will then be given a second opportunity to change out of your costume when you return to your house
►CANNOT miss collectibles!
Unlike The Stick of Truth, there are NO collectibles you can miss throughout the entire game. The only fairly useless item I found that can be missed is in in the Freedom Pals base, move the cardboard car for a Timmy themed artifact
►Unlocking skills timetable
Diabetic rage for moving big objects - end of day 1
Pinwheel - fartcore - early mission on day 2
pause time fart - mid mission day 2
Lava during night 2
Pipes during night 2
Haywire - early day 3 quest
►Star on map icons
Simply means you have not visited the vendor and they have new items
►Attack pattern grid
Icons under the move show their attack pattern
►PC Pooping
Doing the toilet challenges with a keyboard is very difficult because the animations are very unclear
►Snappers and Farts
flame with snappers then fart for explosions for many puzzles
►Late game selfies
Some characters like mr mackey unlock selfie options later in the game
►No achievement for EVERY selfie.
You can get the “master” level selfie taker bonus without getting EVERY selfie
One special late game artifact that scales bonus damage with how many followers you have on Coonstagram

Not being able to miss collectibles is always such a god sent, I hate having to start over a completely new game just to get the collectibles, always drains the fun out of achievement hunting

Before initiating a battle, use time fart and then throw farts in each enemy's face. Then punch one to start the fight. Every enemy starts with gross out damage

If you sell a certain amount of scrap, let's say 10 meds, you can buy the 10 back right afterwards and it won't charge you. It's a glitch not many people know about.

At first i didnt like it and now after a few hours it gets much better. The attack placement was bugging me at first but i got the hsng of it much more now but still not super good yet but im getting better. Glad i didnt give up on the game its def fun.

Yup, that's one of the few aspects that can be missed. I also think you can lose the ability to selfie with some of the moorish people at the very start as well. Best to just walk all the way down to craig's house, selfie with the mail man, then get all the ones on that street before going into Craig's house.

For the 'Token Experience' trophy, does it unlock once you finish the main story? Meaning while i be able to switch it off afterwards while cleaning up my trophy list post game?

Yes, it unlocks after completing the main story. But more importantly, it's very easy to avoid combat after the story has been completed. There will be a bunch of random encounters scattered around the map after the final boss, but you can walk past any enemies with ease.

Out of wondering when you complete the game if you start a new game would all the classes be unlocked to choose from but you can add another later like before so instead of the first 3 you have all of them to choose from? Just curious

Same 3 as normal. The story progresses as normal every time. One catch is that if you have the DLC, you can pick one of the DLC classes at the start as well, letting you have up to 5 choices at the beginning instead of 3.

use a DNA that gives you 3 base move, and the guy in the police station that wants you to put his headshots around town. If you do that and return to him after the 2nd night I think, maybe 3rd, he will give you a major artifact for +1 move.

A small tip is to use a controller for anything that involve mashing buttons(the toilet and farts) since I actaully broke my keyboard thanks to this game

I somehow wish that fractured but whole would have the same mechanics as stick of truth. I would legit play but whole if it were the same fighting mechanics. The aiming in this + hero class, upgrades etc is much much more advanced than stick of truth and its seems to fit the proper gaming people more. So for me who's just an average gamer who plays once in a while and such.. the game is kinda tedious to learn and play effectively. It turned me off and so i didn't finish it. Instead i gt stick of truth again and replayed it 😂

It's one of the 3 attacking ability types. spunk, brains, braun. Higher it is, higher base damage on your spink skills.

For money just sell loads of scrap to a vendor and buy it back instantly it doesn’t cost anything to buy back, unlimited money pretty much, I’m sat at 500 right now just because I can’t be bothered to do it more right now

I'm kind of stuck as I'm around 270 might but the only 2 missions available are the Raisins girls ones (recommended might 550) and Cartman's house (recommended might 650). I did reasonably well at the Raisins one but I know that I'm not supposed to be fighting a 550 at 270 and there isn't anything to do in between other than collect cats/head shots/yaoi etc.

But... the game doesn't handle junk properly... If you have time, you can shore up components and make a profit. Buy a buncha components of a single type, , like biohazard, leave the vender, return to the vender, sell the components, then buyback those components at a rate HIGHER than 1 per sale. The game won't account for this, and you end up buying back the components for free... You can rinse, repeat, scale...

Allow me to throw in a free tip; WONDER TWEEK'S ICICLE STRIKE CAN SAVE A FUCKING LIFE!!! I cannot tell you how many times I've seen someone go for the more popular lightning attack, when Icicle Strike can freeze JUST the right person, turning the tides of battle in your favor. For my play through, I used a combination of his healing rain and ice strike for a majority of the battle, rarely using his lightning.
