I agree I’m usually a medieval enjoyer especially for building but recently I’ve decided to build a modern city to challenge my self and it’s actually more fun then I thought (it’s pure survival too cause I enjoy farming blocks and feels even better when you complete a build)😅

1:35 if only all villages spawned on more or less flat terrain and in nice straight lines to facilitate roads. Every village I find is on a steep hillside and buildings are just thrown about haphazardly

I got bored and redesigned someones house on an smp I play on because we were making the area look better i went all out on that house and I rekon its one of my best houses yet using oak and spruce wood this thing was just epic and I stuck with the initial shape of the house which was a box now its a real home

0:31 yeah, pretty overdetailed man XD 1:41 for me i lie the idea of making world accurate desert or eastern cities like Aït Ben Haddou, which has a verrry simplistic and compact design and there aint no dead northern style yard grass ANYWHERE in a place like that. cobblestone, all cobble sided sandstone (if you can get that), or end stone work best. cities such as that have a verrry small foundational color pallet. 2:05 farms are near impossible to beautify, dont build any and just cheat as i do, you can ahve a building prioritized survival game and give yoruself an infinite resources for decorating exclusivly, thats what i do and its pretty fun! 3:11 good luck doing that in modern minecraft at your local spawn area because more likely than not one of your nearest villages will spawn on the side of a cliff. either migrate them all and start fresh, or make it dissapear, damn its so uncool when it happens becuase barely ever does it work. if of course you cannto come up with creative enough solutions or pathways. 3:31 id say focous on the interior rather than exterior, make a supreme minecart navigation track system. esscentially a roller coaster! i believe you showd off some really cool examples yoruself in a video long past. 4:08 ah, for me my minecraft character is from the nether so it has become a focal point in my designs! such as lapis(PLEASE GIVE US MORE BLUE BLOCKS I BEG-), and warped wood, blackstone, candles. i like to go for a japanese, occult-ified looking gateway. so yeah very akin to your shrine, infact ima save that specifically well done! 4:59 the interior of your bases are always so impressive. if i where any more lazilly motivated than i already am i would just commission you to build for me, or pay you to givem e a copy of your singleplayer building worlds fr (hmu if thats a possibility i WILL pay for that) im competent dont get em wrong but whatever flwo and skill you have with blocks is as further above mine as you can possibly get within minecrafts limitations. 5:31 blehh feels more like filler, you want to do something cool/ fill up a whole damn divit in a valley, turn your battleground you had with a wither into a pond or swamp with the death flowers. or even take a ravine and fill it with like water and lava cobblestone pillars, go absolutely retarded becasue thats what minecraft WANTS you to do. zen ponds are to lax for this chaotic game. if a creeper blows that up YOUL BE UPSET. but if a green d*ck blows up a even bigger wooden d*ck youl most likely laugh. of course you can make anything pretty in this game! turn your dirt phalluses that litter your world into totem poles no one will question their conception. 5:49 good way to come up with light sources, and mayb even minecraft dungeon style pathways, as in like cliffaces of that height on both sides of you, that could eb pretty cool ill have to remember to do that myself soemday. but cliffs need to be in the right spot and right occasion or itl throw off the aestehdic paradigm of your entire landscape... but clearly you know how to avoid that 6:30 nah i like to stick to my own thing, sometimes i manage to really blow people away with thnigs they never seen and i like that about my own style, i dont have to ever be board of it because i simply enjoy my creations that much, when they adhere to my aesthedics, if they dotn i hoenstly dont feel motivated to continue playing. i sughest otehr people try that style of playing and see what resonates with you teh most. just stick to building that theme all the time. 6:50 i hope everyone does that anyways, shows some sembelacne of immersion, if you dont are you even playin the right game for you? 7:37 i would have built that by at least 4 mroe blocks higher. a path to continue gonig foward would be so counterproductive at that level, youd have to make a stairway butting into it, or go around. to em it seems like that just mroe of your style you go for examples for the video's sake, i want to see what you *realy* build when youre in the flow state, and what strikes you as truly aesthedically pleasing and the most convienant. not just what you make for yoru virtual job. also bent bridges are ugly most of hte time, and i sugest people try notto do it if the bridge has to be at an angle,a flat bridge like that has all the perfect physical proportions. 7:55 literally mentioned this at the begining of the video, im sorry but to me it seems you youre CONSTANTLY rehashnig ideas video after video. am i not the only one who sees it? either way lovely video

Why is there only medieval or modern building, that’s always the same

A simple yet effective tip: don't go flat. A little dent every few blocks in the wall or an overhang can do wonders to your builds. You can mix and match dozens of blocks and still wondering, why it looks mediocre - most of the time it's because walls/roofs/floor without depth are just boring.
