What part of the story touched you the most?

What touched me is that there are white folks on that bus, supporting them. At that time, they were risking their jobs, acceptance in their families and communities, and of course, their lives. Certainly, little Jamie was doing what the Lord had taught her, a beautiful Christian.

When simply doing the right thing is praised as heroism there is something deeply wrong with society.

We are experiencing too much discrimination, in every shape and form, and this should stop. I know I'm not the first one saying this, but I truly am against discrimination (I have been personally discriminated many times and trust me, it's not a cool feeling)! 💖

I agree, I am 63, grew up in New York, second generation American Italian. We went to school, played with and interacted with every different type of person. As a child, I thought the KKK and all the marches were in some far away land. HOWEVER, I feel like social media is encouraging the kids of today to segregate from each other. That racism is back. I have photos of my grandfather at a wedding in 1940's with yarmulke on, at Jewish wedding. Photos of my grandmother with her black friends at her house in the 1950. Of course, it was New York. It was normal. Social media is telling kids that they hate each other. It's so sad.

@@lindav1189 I agree and I am a person who doesn't like to hate in general but i can declare that I HATE racism! Skin colour shouldn't exist, every person has the same right to be appreciated. I lived abroad all my adulthood and I faced discrimination many times and I find that so unfair, people judging me based on my country of origins instead of trying to see my essence! Sad yes! thanks for sharing your thoughts!

@@mihaelaclaudiap..2 I had something similar. I moved to the south 30 years ago. What a culture shock. The women didn't like me, the men I dated thought I was pushy. They were all plain vanilla people. My family is a bunch of loud, emotional Italians who all talk at the same time, like all New Yorkers do. I literally had tow different woman say to me, in all seriousness, "you never smell like garlic". I responded with "thank you"!
