The title says it all! I found this version of the song with the electric guitars at the end. And if you wanna download it, here's the link: www.megaupload.com/?d=P5LRTVGA

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that James Newton Howard worked frickin' ELECTRIC GUITAR into a full orchestra movie score? I mean, the guy is a total badass.
@ScottyFang3 жыл бұрын
I like to think the guitar was an emotional substitute for Jim, and the orchestra was the world around him; was a little different, and doesn't "belong" but if you listened, the guitar flared up when Jim felt excitement in his otherwise lonely and lost life

And used it in a freakin' Disney animated film! I still love Disney, but God, they sure don't make them like this anymore.

it's all the more impressive when you consider he composed the whole score under a tight deadline, Disney were originally gonna have someone else do it. mixing distorted guitar with the more traditional cinematic orchestra was an appropriate choice, reflecting the mix of mostly steampunk and minor sci-fi influences, and in my opinion it nicely reflects both the optimism and angst of Jimbo as a solar sailing teenager.

2:19 I LOVE how the guitar soars so high with the violins. That part sounds so weird without the guitar on the regular soundtrack.

The one that I had recieved had this one among them, but not with the earlier piece. It jumped straight to 12 years Later. Thank you for posting none the less.

the eguitar at the end literally made the whole score for me... i was so disappointed when the version of the score on apple music was missing it :( is there any reason why the guitars were removed from that part?
@PROJECT_XENON2 жыл бұрын
I know i'm a year late, as per usual, but probably because people thought it didn't fit/was too rock-y or something. I'm glad they kept it in the movie though
