120 Gallon Mixed Reef - Top Down View - Of Our High End Coral Collection
Hello reef people, welcome back to the Craft Aquatic channel, I’m Matt G.
Around a week ago, I was performing regular maintenance and some fragging on the 120 gallon mixed reef and noticed that the coral was looking pretty nice from a top down perspective. So thought it might be fun to put together a top down only video, with some captions sprinkled in about individual corals and general observations to go along with a birds eye POV.
This topic brought to mind the book by Charles Delbeek and Julian Sprung, the Reef Aquarium, volume three. I mention this book, mostly because back when I was learning the basics, the top down view on the front cover was inspiration for me to someday be able to replicate something similar. I believe I have achieved that and hope you agree.

It super fantastic saltwater aquarium and Acropora corals too... how you bring out color of Acropora corals.. I try to many things it's doesn't have color like your tank...👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊😊😊😊.. Thanks for sharing fantastic video..

Thank you very much. I’m very happy with where it is at today. I am running two AI Hydra 64 HDs, two 4’ LED strips and two 4’ T5s. @@fadetoblack.- I have no complaints really. They do exactly what I need, with little fanfare. I like the color I get out of them. Very powerful, when you need it. Run cool and quiet. The only issue I have ever had is one light not powering on, a few days in a row. I ran a firmware update and everything has been good since. I recommend the 64 in particular for its versatility, longevity and overall value

@@craftaquatic6472 Thanks for the truth i will scratch the reefi and get the 64. a true testament to your character a lot of people would walk the fine line on the fence instead of give us a straight out answer. Subscribed.😀

Thank you! I have discussed most of the changes I’ve made in past videos. I believe the auto water changes have had the biggest positive affect on stability. Also, just dialing in my weekly and monthly maintenance schedules.

Hey thanks! Nitrate hover at 2.5 - 10 and phosphates .03 - .08

Great looking tank!! Man those OG bounce bubbles are crazy. Any idea how much par they’re getting? My OG’s bubbles have mysteriously started shrinking and I’m not sure if it’s getting too much or too little light.

Thanks! In my experience 80-100 PAR max for the OG bounce mushrooms. It really varies with each rhodactus, but generally they prefer low light and are pretty flexible when it comes to flow, though I try to keep that minimal as well
