Wow, an intense match. That's how Grayson wrestles but Hayden didn't give an inch. The coach should spend more time coaching and less time arguing with the officials. His protest of an unsportsmanlike call turned into a match-long whine. Another great video showing all aspects of the sport. Thank you!

That was indeed an intense match. It was interesting to hear the side comments, but in the end, Grayson Woodcock was the better wrestler in this match. Thanks again, Midwest Wrestle for another high quality video!

A real fine whine. Coach the wrestler, not the ref. Your wrestler just learned from you, " we won't win a call," as if it's the debate team.

Hayden has good potential but is being held back, both as a wrestler and as a maturing young man, by his coach.

nothing worse than a coach trying to justify an inappropriate, unnecessary, unsportsmanlike act.......especially in front of the athletes.........setting a great example

That coach should stop crying and bullying. Shut up and coach your team. Bad energy all around, your a bully and your team suffers from it. Teach them skills and technique not crying and bullying.

Intense match that could have been better but was ruined by poor officials and poor coaching which elevated the intense situation! Match should have been ended due to unsportsmanlike conduct from both sides at the time the coach called time to argue with the official due to his bad call!

I agree, but for various reasons detailed out in a previous comment on a different video also from this tournament (which I'm happy to locate and share if interested), I didn't have much of a choice.

@@ReddishNeck Completely understandable. Here is the reply to the similar comment I mentioned: "I understand and appreciate the feedback. For what it's worth, I completely agree with you. Both factors you mentioned (i.e., being positioned too close and having only one lens with too high of a minimum zoom length) led to the result in this and likely additional matches to come from this particular tournament. This was the last tournament I filmed with my 70mm-180mm lens, as the following week the new 35mm-150mm I had ordered a month prior had finally arrived-unfortunately too late for this tournament, however. The reason why the 70mm-180mm didn't produce this result in prior tournaments was because this was the first and only tournament where I experimented with wiring up the coach with a wireless mic, and I learned very quickly that due to interference, I would lose his audio if I wasn't within an arm's length of him. Coaches tend to stand right at the edge of the circle, and so I was essentially forced to film from much closer than I normally would. And because I was in the team corner, I had to crouch down and film from a low angle so as not to block the view for the rest of the team standing behind me."
