Kev, I just fixed the same noise on my 8s XMAXX. It is the center diff output gear to the front dif that is stripping out.

I know the sound kev!!!!!!! Ahah. If you know which diff it is, slight warp. So every torqued rotation it collides harder and makes that sound. But when it’s not under load it won’t make that sound. Check the bearing, might be worn or the drive cup as well. Had all three issues when I found the sound. Thumbs up hope this is your problem so you can rest again ahaha love the vids dude. Love the Arrma tough vids and life talks. This video was what I got into the hobby for. Off road madness

I really enjoy this channel. I don't know Stemp personally but I've nicknamed him runaway stemp...lol. Almost every video his car goes a-wall...haha. Doesn't your motor overheat Kevin without fans? I guess the short burst must not get to it too much. Looks like the batteries held up great.

Kev used compressed air to clean it. Dry, doesn't kill bearings.

That clicking sound sounds exactly how mine did. Ended up being the center diff. Ran it till it stopped moving, spider gears destroyed themselves inside the diff.

Kev, just open your center diff and take a good look at those small gears (a very good look) they sometimes seem fine but if only one of those gears is just a little bad you get that clicking sound 1000% sure thats the problem

I love mudding it's soooo fun great vid Kev, I can't recall if this has been mentioned befor but you know the clicking it could be your motor, its a long shot, maybe bearing are broken

Alex Air Conditioning only thing with the motor bearings though is that if they were broken, the whole thing would be seized up. Had this happen in the past.

Kev rebuild your center diff with new inner gears, I had the same problem and that is how I fixed the clicking noise ( which is those gears slipping abit and then catching)

knocking is the Back diff! when you brake you hear no konocking becouse the power gehts to the front and away from the back.

Hi guys. First rly nice video :D Sometime i will get my own xmaxx ^^ On my erevo the steering works normal but the throttle is strange if i go forwards the green led goes off until fullthrottle but the motor downt spin. If i go reverse the motor goes instant to full speed no low speed possible. What can i do? Sry for my bad english. greetings MrYoshii

I've got the upgraded 2085x servo in my xmaxx and the mx6 esc which has an option to up the servo voltage to 7.4 v and it really makes the 2085x run strong and fast had anyone else ran the 2085x servo on 7.4v instead of 6? Does it kill it eventually or can it handle it? It made a huge difference but I'm just wondering if it can handle it long term. If Anyone can let me know. Thanks 👍

Hey there big fan, I just wanted to let ya know that, the squeak form ur RC car might be ether the gear’s ⚙️ having a little bit of dirt on the inside of the diff, or the axles have’in dirt in em’.

You can wash the hell out of it with a hose. You just gotta break the bulk heads down and repack/re-oil all the bearings, also be sure that all the electronics are fully dry before plugging the batteries back in.
