Nice video Andy. Currently sitting at 6.9K miles on mine. No shaking so far. Just had first service done. Do have a cracked front fork guard. Small on bottom right side. Doesn't seem from a rock but stress crack.. Not sure. Have a nice trip from Poland.

Zelfde probleem gehad met een nieuwe versys 1000. Ben blijven aandringen op garantie en uiteindelijk ook gekregen.

Replaced front rotors and pads 3 times....Under warranty....every 4000 miles

Salut Andy, Très intéressante vidéo, j'ai fait ma première révision à 1000 kms ( 174 € ) et mon concessionnaire m'a dit tous les 6000 kms . Bon ok .( Je pensais que c'était tous les 12000 ) . Attention avec les pneus neufs ...😉... ✌️

The brake discs warping seems to be something that is known to the platform this bike shares the brake system with (Z1000SX/Ninja1000 etc). I've read multiple forum threats with people having the same issue on the Versys 1000/Z1000 etc. Also some people that had them replaced (under warranty) had it happening again after 5000~6000 KM. Personally I had it with my 2019 Versys 1000 SE as well, I didn't buy the bike new but the seller replaced them under warranty as coming to a halt felt like being on a rocking horse. They were replaced with motomasters rotors and seem fine so far (3000-4000km). A bit offtopic: For brake pads I wouldn't recommend the motomasters though I have those now but I am going to replace them soon as they make noise and behave a bit weird with hard stops. Don't get me wrong, the stopping distance is fine, but it just doesn't feel right. I am Doubting to go OEM again or EBC HH sintered. And indeed like stated by others, not only the Oil+Oil filter needs changing but also Spark Plugs, officially they should also check the throttle body vacuum sync but I don't think something will be off that quickly and you would notice issues with idling or the engine stalling. They did the same with me (skipping the Spark Plugs and the older Gen3 (Euro 4) Versys also require a new air filter every 12k KM opposed to your 24k KM) so I did my spark plugs earlier this week, as also my brake switch on the brake lever started acting up (also a semi-known issue for the Versys 1000/z1000/ninja 1000 platform), but they put that connector under the air box, so I figured while being there also replacing the spark plugs. Mine did 15k and they didn't look terrible, but replacing them wasn't in vain either. PS: Fun to watch your videos and the more technical ones have helped me quite a lot stripping the bike etc. So thank you for that!

Nice to find your channel again, Andy. Do you have a video when you changed Versys 650 to 1000?

Disc deviation is different when the discs are warmed up or when they are cold. On my bike they were also within limits when are cold but then I insisted the bike be ridden and braked hard a few times and then it show that they were out of limits. Also I notice, when I start braking and disc are cold, nothing is heppening until they warmed, then shaking starts.

In the Czech Republic, this service costs 450e, I don't understand such a difference 🤔

Hallo Andy, ich habe auch eine Versys 1000SE. Bei 2000km fing das rubbeln der Bremsen an. Bei 7000Km wurden die Scheiben auf Garantie (Kulanz) getauscht. Bei 9000km (okt22) hat das Problem wieder begonnen. Ich habe sie Anfang April in die Werkstatt gebracht. Scheiben werden wahrscheinlich wieder gewechselt. 2022 stand sie 6 Wochen in der Werkstatt, jetzt schon wieder 3 Wochen. Kennst Du noch andere, die dass gleiche Problem haben. Gruß Marco
