@@Cream147player if you get the bull the first dart, then surely 25 bull is the best way. That way you have the optimal chance of ending the game on that throw, whereas hitting the t17 is riskier

The last 10 games Taylor against Van Gerwen played before his retirement Taylor won 5 out of 10. And that was old Taylor. I think prime vs prime Taylor wins about 6 or 7 out of 10 games against Gerwen.

I think it's probably because you're aiming at roughly the same place with all 3 darts why some players like it, there's probably quite a few players never go that route because there's not much to aim for especially if one dart blocks a lot of the bull. I wonder if anyones finished 150 with 3x bullseye?

Going for the 25 guarantees you to have a shot at the bull, while attempting for a T19 o T17 won't give you a dart to finish if you miss
