USA here 💜how exciting to see the uncasting..I actually got goosebumps👍its beautiful...but as my cat Boomer sits on my lap watching, also..he wants to know "where are the birds"❓he loves watching ya feed ur koo-koo(kookaburra)birdies, we call them, lol😂

Every time I try this all the ink sits at the bottom pushing the resin out of the way and I have a layer of gross ink that comes off and stains everything. This turned out so beautiful!

This is absolutely beautiful! You make it look so easy but I know it’s not at all. Right before I got pregnant with my first child (4 years ago), I got really into resin but then had to stop because I got pregnant… I was obsessed with trying to do this dripping technique where you drop the colors and then white on top. I was only working on super small molds that were for polyhedral dice, for a tabletop games. The molds were so small and even though I was making 2 part molds and using a pressure pot, I was still unable to keep the dripped into side from getting gummy.

I'm surprised the amount of ink you were able to use didn't affect the cureing on the resin. Looks awesome!

Turned out great even if it was not quite what you wanted. 👍 One thing you should keep in mind is that if you use yellow ink in any resin project, especially with this technique, you need to always remember a few rules to keep more of it. Write it down on the bottle so you don't forget! Firstly, always add at least twice as much yellow over more area as every other color because it tends to get swallowed by any color that gets placed next to it. Also, your next color should never be dropped right next to it because, again, other colors always swallow it (darn hungry colors always eating yellow). Lastly, always drip your white ink into all the yellow parts first and then go back to the beginning and drop your white on all the next colors in line while working away from the yellow, never towards it. Hope that explanation made sense and helps you a bit. Thanks for sharing your work with us all who are too broke to buy any supplies of our own and those who need inspiration too. 😄

I would like to see the octopus with black mixed in for the eyes and white mixed in for the suckers and use an eye dropper to fill the suckers and the eyes with the black and white resin. I think it will give more definition and depth to the octopus 🐙

That would be cool "dusted up" also. That way you could put the color exactly where you want it and could really make the eyes pop.

Beautiful.. the octopus doesn’t have tentacles though. A lot of people seem to think they do. They have 8 arms.. no tentacles. Cuttlefish and jellyfish do have them.

Oh really gorgeous! Don't how you didn't end with going a little gooey around his arms. It seemed like a lot of ink going in. He is beautiful though 💖💖💖👏👏👏🇦🇺

You should try one of these with the feather effect or the piping bag technique you do.
