This build is simple, but well worth watching. Sometimes we over-build circle cutting jigs; this one takes seconds to build and does not require taking off the base plate or messing with any screws. Very good video.

Like the idea of the cordless because of the horrible twisted cable you get using a mains router. If all you are doing is trimming a rough cut from a bandsaw, then the reduced power of the cordless should be enough. We use thicker timber and some internal circles - we made a jig similar to yours but have the Festool mains router in the jig and secured by a lever clamp

Handy , as Martin Cox says it's always a pain when the cable coils up doing circles. Just picked up one of these Bosch's and the little planer too. Looking forward to trying them out.

Let me know how the planner works work... I bought my drill screw driver set about 8 years ago maybe more and alway love how small they are for small jobs..

Manor Wood yeah the planer is pretty good, only gave it a quick try. Could do with either the dust bag or dust extraction on it which is an extra.

Hi noticed you are using the Bosch PBD40 would be interested in your view/review of this machine ... if the quill doesn’t wobble too much it looks like a good compromise for the hobbyist ... keen follower of your work ... solid working methods great execution ... keep it coming! Thanks Michael

PBD40 ... Some are good, some are bad. Try it out in the shop if you can, otherwise get it swapped until you get a good one. Remember to first make sure the shop will allow you to swap it if something is wrong with it. My brother got one and swapped it once, then he got a good one without wobble. If the laser is imprecise, it's possible to adjust it (search KZfaq to find out how), so if you got one that does not wobble, stick with that one and go through the hassle of adjusting the laser.
