As in the title guys. I’m using a bison electric/troll motor with 40lbs of thrust on my 22ft SHETLAND 610 that weighs just over 1.2 ton
The motor has 5 forward gears and 3 reverse. I found setting 3 to be a good setting not too fast and giving plenty of steering. 5 was too fast for a novice like myself on such a tight canal
On the max setting of 5. The motors using 30 amps per hour. I’m using a 115 amp leisure battery
