This video takes a short spin across the Coronado bridge and back to I-5 north for a few miles before exiting in to downtown San Diego for a couple miles. Music info and FAQ's are in the closing credits.

Lovely video for a lovely city. I lived in San Diego from 84 to 95, and this video bought back a lot of memories!

NICE! Boy downtown San Diego has changed since I was there in 1990! Great ride, great bridge! I've always loved that bridge! Ever since I first saw it on the opening credits of Simon & Simon!!! Great vid- really loving your trip thus far!!!!!!

More homesickness. I've spent a lot of time in San Diego. It's been a long time since I went over the Coronado bridge; the zipper is new (and understandable). I'm surprised they haven't taken out the toll plaza, though.

Thank you, yes those bridges accommodate larger cargo and Navy ships so they need to have at least 180 feet in clearance, most major bridges in the south and northeast are that high as well..

She's right! The strand is a really nice trip! Another nice ride (although not a freeway) is taking La Jolla Shores Drive, from La Jolla proper up toward the UCSD campus, it goes along the coast, and is very scenic. The Scripps Institute is along this route!

Actually there is a new restaurant - a Brazilian Steakhouse called Fuga De Chao there. It opened up a month or so after this video was made.

Did you check out CA-56? That's what I consider the coolest urban freeway/highway hybrid I've ever been on in San Diego-- far better than CA-78, and CA-52.

@4:25...I'm surprised they haven't found a tenant for that Borders building. They closed down in 2011 (in Dallas, anyway). Sad day indeed.

To the south you have the border, to the west you have a sea, to the north you have an army base and to the west you have the mountains. San Diego is running out of space...fast and things will get ugly for the city very soon.

Freewayjim thanks for your reply. Its not about the numbers I am trying to collect. Its simple marketing that I'm doing for myself and my channel. How do I tell people about my videos without taking a chance and telling as much people as I can about it. Its on you if you want to watch it or not, I'm just trying to put myself out there. If you actually watched my videos, you'd see I have good intentions and good meanings with it. With that said a simple no or ignore would've been fine. No need to try and berate me for telling and introducing you to a free video from a local to something that MIGHT appeal to you. Thanks for your time.

I never asked for a sub from anyone else, ever! and I never used another person's forum/channel to tell people about my videos. You gain viewership by producing interesting, good quality videos and getting attention via word of mouth and promoting them in the appropriate places (subject appropriate subject related message boards & facebooks groups for example) if you feel the need to do so. I don't question the intention of your videos at all, nor am I trying to berate you, I just get a lot of people trying to get attention for themselves off my work not to mention everyone who wants me to sub their channel that I have no interest in and I'm just a little sensitive to it so please forgive me if I came off as annoyed, maybe a private message on your part would have more appropriate? I started from the very bottom with my channel just happy someone other than a friend or family member found what I did interesting. Good luck with your channel.
