Great interview Jack and Dave can you please try to get Mohamed Gulab (the Afghan that saved Marcus Luttrell) on the show to get his perspective on Marcus's claims🙏. I think he would be an excellent interview to also talk about his personal experience/ tragedies he's endured since then. There's a taliban video where you can hear Luttrells team leader yelling, "Marcus... help" like he'srunning away. On Joe Rogan, Luttrell says he was recovered by the water alone... his recovery was filmed by the Rangers and shows him being walked out of a house by 2 foreign men... somethings not right indeed.

Gentlemen thanx for having a great vibe I grew up in 63 and watched Nam on CBS with Cronkite. But i remember " The Boys from Charlie Co. J Wayne and the Green Bs and the song. I read a book called Code Name Copperhead it was when awhile ago but jump with one the first siutcase nuke. The book starts with his namesake driving from US into Canada the kids stopped and detained Long story short thank u for hours of great guests and subject matter. If you guys have had a podcast on this American Bad ass let me know wher to find it. I always thought from childhood that id be a Marine. I lost a half cousin to Nam and my only memory of the guy was he was comfortable in his skin. Ended up 1/21/85 joined NYPD. Ive never written to anyone about anything. I also that some guys who listen to these shows are "buffs" good dudes who love hear the stories, me its hearing about groups Teams of men all therre by choice and Selection. I was molested as a child spared not the ROD. AM A WARRIOR I WOULD HAVE STAYED & DIED: TRUTH MAN I COULD NOT HAVE TOLERATED THAT. I THINK IT HAUNTS HIM TO THIS DAY! & I GET IT TOO MARCUS I LOVE YOU, BUT WE ARE IN THIS DREG OR HEAVEN TOGETHER WE GO TO SLEEP ON WATCH, STORIES GET TOLD, MAYBE FOR MILLIONS & THOSE THAT DID HELP GET LEFT IN COLD. IT IS CALLED SURVIVERS GUILT. LOVE YOU MARCUS, BUT I THINK NICHOLAS WOULD AGREE IN DIFFERENT ATMOSPHEREICS. HOWEVER YOU, ARE OUR BROTHER WE RIDE TOGETHER, WE LOSE , WE WIN, WE FIGHT, WE TRY BETTER, HARDER FOR THE LORD 💯. Sounds like he has doubts about fat Marcus Lutrell's story. Marcus should have been polygraphed and I know that sounds insulting to people but if everything is what you say you wouldn't have a problem with simply telling your story. Remember the Box isn't going to tell us what happened but we would know whether Marcus was telling the truth to the best of his abilities. I would love to see the results of him being polygraphed. All of the other Intel reports suggest it was a maximum of 10 fighters they weren't even Taliban they were just Hired Guns working for the warlord. so that's four on 10 they got dominated. I don't believe they lost the fight as much as I believe all four of them scattered in separate directions under the heat of combat. I have nothing against seals whatsoever most of them are awesome operators and Stand Up Guys but the case of Marcus Luttrell and Red Wings really pisses me off for all of the brave men and women that died during GWOT.
@kxkxkxkx
@kxkxkxkx Жыл бұрын
Don't need to flutter Marcus to know he is full of crap, just like Eddy Gallagher and Bret Slabinski ☝️ The seal dive team doing their first mountain combat reconnaissance on red wings was tracked since they landed, then shot up at the bottom of a draw, Marcus ran away to live while everybody else fought and died. Then the rest of their seal platoon died when their helicopter was shot down attempting rescue. There were a grand total of 8 enemy fighters that killed the whole seal platoon, they were all tracked down and entirely eliminated by RRD in the following weeks 🗽 now you know...

The Lone Survivor book was written by a British military fiction writer after he had a 1hr, unrecorded sit-down interview with Luttrell. Luttrell's debrief, which was recorded by SOCCENT, is substantially different than the book. Similar situation with Bravo Two Zero.
@kevinmorthorst521

My take on Red wings is the dept of navy stepped in and gave Marcus an approved story to tell. This was done to turn this blunder into a story the public could swallow. Hence why they brought in the writer and fast tracked the book and that awful movie.
@LRRPFco52
@LRRPFco52 Жыл бұрын
@@kevinmorthorst521 Dept of Navy loved the story because it magnified the primary mission of the SEALs: Recruitment. Think about how many kids saw that movie, read that book, then decided to join the Navy. Most of those guys ended up where the Navy actually needed them, on ships maintaining the strategically-significant mission set executed by the surface and submariner fleets on a daily basis. Same with the failed raids in Panama and Grenada, though those aren’t widely-known.

@@LRRPFco52 Oh I agree it served its purpose as recruiting propaganda just like Act of Valor, another crap film I Rolled my eyes a ton while watching. MY THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ONLY 5:55 hahaha lol...same thing happened w/my twins. I tried 2 warn them basic is jus mind games. Do what u're told, keep low profile, pass ur tests, etc. They got it so bad not jus regular pitting em against each other but threats of ucmj(like "stop, going over 2 his platoon...or u both get art 15". Or during h2h they were told 2 fight each other, when they didnt agree, they got told "u fight or we'll kick u out da army"). So, bad that during h2h, a DI who i believe should not be one any longer due 2 his undiagnosed ptsd, said fight 2 da end. One of my boys passed out, his brother thought he strangled his brother. And dem fucker di's standing around laughing while da "omg, i killed my brother" son is freaking out...only then did they fucking realize something was badly wrong! Plus a lot of other mind games(maybe what some might call psyops), it got real bad towards middle & end...which DID NOT go over well w/momma bear...but das some other stories of me going off on their commander & then later at graduation i ripped into a DI.

It's almost impossible to understand most of these operations that failed so miserably because they are all fragmented accounts from the low ranking pfcs and specialists who didn't really grasp what was happening at the time or even 5 years later...As I understand it 4 seals were put on a Afghanistan mountain to observe a guy named Shah and his merry men...They obviously were observing the seals and their rescue helicopter which they shot down killing 16 men... Nobody in 1/75, 2/75 or 3/75 fired a round and allegedly neither did marcus Litrell...So, I just don't see the point of this...
